" Soundwave! "

I turned towards my sibling unit's voice with a worried look behind my visor. She never called me by full designation unless she was absolutely terrified.

" Yes, are you alright? "

She, quickly, shook her helm and grabbed my servo, dragging me away.

" What's wrong? " I asked.

" S-Sire! "

I nearly froze in fear, but, continued to run after her.

" What happened, this time? "

She started sobbing, stumbling, slightly, while dragging me along.

" He killed her! He killed Carrier, " she cried, stumbling, once again, before falling. I fell with her since she had a hold on my servo, still. I was shocked and so scared.

" He...he killed Carrier? "

" She was trying to protect me. He was mad at me for not getting him his high grade. He...he was going to use the blade on me..., " she sobbed. My processor filled with tons of emotions. I was angry, fuming even, then I was terrified that he'd come after us, next I was ready to sob my optics out, but I was also confused. He'd never gone so far to use the blade on us. He knew that if we came out of our living unit with such an injury then he would be questioned and eventually found out. Then, if we missed any classes at the academy then they would set up a parental unit/mentor meeting. He'd be discovered either way.

" Why on Cybertron would he use that on you?! "

" I don't know! He's been acting worse and worse, lately. He kept threatening to kill you, but, every time Carrier came in he would act like nothing happened. He'd be so sweet and caring, acting like everything was great. Just a few megacycles ago she caught me singing and treating some wounds from earlier in the orn, " she explained, finally drying her tears.

" What were you singing, this time around? " I asked, trying to get her processor off all of this.

" A song that I wrote. It's called For The Love Of A Sparkling, " she replied.

" Could you sing it to me? "

She nodded with a small smile coming to her lips.

" Eight vorns old, with our backs to the door. All we could hear was the family war. You're selfish servos always expecting more. Are we your kids or just a charity award? You have a hollowed out spark but it's heavy in your chassis. We tried so hard to fight it, but, it's hopeless. Hopeless. You're hopeless. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. We'd love to leave you alone, but, we can't let you go. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. Put the high grade down for the love of your sparklings. It's been some time since we've hugged last and you can't take back what we never had. Oh, I can be manipulated only so many times! Before even ' I love you ' starts to sound like a lie! You have a hollowed out spark, but, it's heavy in your chassis. We've tried so hard to fight it, but, it's hopeless. Hopeless. You're hopeless. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. We'd love to leave you alone, but, we can't let you go. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. Put the high grade down for the love of your sparklings. Don't you remember the times that we had? How could you push us out of your world? Lied to the ones that you made. Put your servos on the ones you swore you loved. Don't you remember the times that we had?! How could you throw us right out of your world?! So young when the pain had begun. Now and forever afraid of being loved. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. We'd love to leave you alone, but, we can't let you go. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. Oh, Sire, please, Sire. Put the high grade down for the love of your sparklings. For the love of your sparklings, " she sang and I felt liquid running down my faceplate. I was crying and I know why. That song was true. Everything she sang in that song was true.

Suddenly, an audio splitting roar pierced the atmosphere and we jumped, quickly getting to our peds.

" Scrap. He's coming! ". She started crying, again.

I grabbed her servo and pulled her as I started running, once again. She stumbled, at first, but, quickly, regained her balance and followed after me. Daring to sneak a peek behind me, I turned my helm, ever so slightly. I wish I hadn't. Our Sire was right on our tailpipes, dentas barred as a snarl escaped his vocalization unit. That terrifying sound urged me to run faster and I received a while new burst of speed. I ran, blindly, pulling Wavelength with me.

" Soundwave, stop! Soundwave, " she screamed at me.

I turned my helm forward a little too late. I felt impact and the brunt of the fall, but, black was all I saw before I fell unconsious.
