I can do this...
...right?

Eren put his hand in a small fist as he mentally prepared himself. He stood there in silence just listening to his own cliché thoughts. What if they don't like me?
No. Stop thinking.
He combed his hand through his messy brown hair and knocked on the dark wooden door. He looked around at the beautiful porch he was standing on. It had a small welcome mat, covered in a pretty, flowery pattern; on one side sat a small table-like stand--perfectly topped with a blue tulip in a vase--and on the other was just empty space--it still looked perfect. An icy-gazed male answered the door. "Tch, hello?"

"Oh hello, is Erwin here?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'll go get him," he said then off went the black-haired male, closing the door behind him. Eren was just slightly confused why he closed the door again but he just shrugged it off. He turned his gaze towards the road and watched the light traffic pass, counting how many black cars he could spot to pass this short wait.
The door opened again and Erwin exited, looking at Eren. "Hey."

"Oh, hey. Who was that?" Eren questioned blankly. The blonde just shrugged and bluntly said, "My boyfriend."

Eren was a little speechless--his mind was going nuts. "Wait, Erwin, you're gay?"

"Bi," he corrected.

"Oh sorry, but honestly I would've never guessed---"

"Yeah, I know. Levi's just.. special."

"Oh so that's his name."

"Yeah, why?" Eren shrugged and started to head into his car--perfectly shiny and scratch free, unlike Erwin's old, beat up SUV. He got into the drivers seat as Erwin followed, getting in the passengers seat.

"Ready for the interview?" He nodded.

The black car came to a stop outside of a tall building, covered in windows. The streets were traffic filled and cars raced by them as they came out of the car. "God, this place is huge."

"Yeah," Eren agreed, walking up to the door with Erwin following. Eren reached for the door handle but he felt someone grip his wrist. "Wait."

Eren turned to Erwin and cocked his head to the side, staring at the older, taller male. "You know, they're probably only going to hire one of us... No hard feelings, okay?" Erwin stuck his hand out for Eren to shake.

Eren took Erwin's hand and shook it, nodding. "No hard feelings." Erwin gave a light smile and opened the door for Eren and himself.

Levi sat in Erwin's house on his couch, messing with the television, trying to find a show--nothing good was on. He sighed, picking up his phone and debating wether or not to text Erwin. The raven haired male rose from the couch and put his phone back into his pocket. He headed straight for the kitchen. He thought if he made Erwin something he could pass the time and make his lovely new boyfriend delighted.
Levi picked up an old recipe book from Erwin's shelves of never used books. "Tch, filthy," Levi growled to himself and took a damp paper towel to the cover, wiping off the dust.
"Ah, perfect." He turned directly to the page he was looking for.

"Alrighty, Mr. Yēgā, I've seen your articals before, what makes you want to work for Sina's Newspaper?" Hanji Zoë, the lady interviewing him, asked.

"I--- well, I just have a passion for writing and I would absolutely love to work for a major newspaper company like Sina." Eren replied--he was kind of nervous. Hanji nodded. She looked at him and pushed up her glasses. "One last thing, are you fine with starting as an editor and working up from there? That's how we work in this company."

Eren nooded, "Yeah, I wouldn't mind it." Hanji smilled and scribbled more things down in her notebook. "Thank you for your time, Mr. Yēgā."

"No problem," Eren replied with a smile and Hanji showed him the door. "I will contact you once we get to a desicion." Eren nodded and when back into the room Erwin was waiting in.

"How'd your's go?" Erwin asked Eren right when he saw him. Eren shrugged.

"Good, I think. Dunno."

"Ah, same. They said something like 'are you fine being an editor' or something."

"Hanji said the same thing to me."

"Hanji? Hanji Zoë, by any chance?"

"Yeah, I think it was Zoë. Why?"

"Oh, nothing." Eren's brow furrowed, 'oh, nothing' suuuuure.
Erwin noticed Eren's annoyance in not being answered and let out a huff. "Don't worry about it. Just know, you're most likely going to get the job."
Eren pushed his lips together, not knowing what to say. "Let's just head to our houses."

Levi scrubbed the cooking tools he used in the sink. Soap bubbles filled the sink, along with steaming hot water. The air was sweet with baked-good smells. He heard the door open and he headed towards it, planning on greeting Erwin. Levi held the small, perfectly decorated cake in his hands as he walked over.

The cake hit the floor.
