The day finally came to an end and I was exhausted. Today was weird. I've met my mate, but he didnt seem like he was cared if we had met. Am I not enough? Did he not want me? So many questions were running through my mind when there was a knock on my door. I just simply yelled come in since I and my mom are the only ones who live here so its pretty much her only, but when I seen who had stepped through the door instead of my mom I froze. He's here. My mate is here in my room. He just stood there at the doorway looking at me. I cleared my head of all of the reasons why he would be here at my house, in my bedroom before clearing my throat to say,"what do want?" A small smile came across his face. He stalked over closer and sat on the edge of my bed where I was sitting with my back against the headboard. "Can I not take my beautiful mate to my home where she belongs?" To hear those words made my heart swoon and my wolf purr at the thought of being with our mate. I wanted so badly to scream yes at the top of my lungs, but I wasn't sure if I was ready. Ready to leave my mom alone. To be with my mate. Hell, screw this. I'm doing it. I'm going with him. He's my mate I need him. "Okay, I'll go with you." Once those words left my mouth he had the biggest smile he looked like an alligator. He grabbed my leg and pulled me on to his lap and nuzzling his head in my neck taking in my scent. He mumbled against my skin, "Thank you, my love." He leaned away from me looking in my eyes. "Let's get you packed." Once I packed some clothes and other necessities we walked down the stairs hand in hand to see my mom standing at the door crying. "Oh my sweet little girl is leaving me." She sobbed in a tissue. I walked to her squeezing her in a tight hug. " I love you mom." I mumbled pulling back to look at her. "Please be safe cam. Promise me?" I promised her I would do as she said and said my goodbyes. Kaden gave my mom a gentle smile before grabbing my bags as I walked out the door leaving all I've ever known behind to live a new life. Kaden put my bags in the back set of his suv and opened the passenger door for me to get in. Once I was buckled in I started remembering what I'm leaving. I'm leaving my mom. My childhood. My old life and memories. My wolf was trying to comfort me, but I just blocked her out. I turned to look at laden who was keeping his eyes on the road. "Kaden?" I squeaked like a scared little mouse. I couldn't find the strength to speak louder. "Hmm?" He replied taking a quick glance at me before going back at the road. "Can I visit my mom soon?" He scrunched his eyebrows and turned to me for a mere second. "My love. I'm sorry, but I can't let you. There are so many enemies that I have that wouldn't hesitate in taking you away from me. You know I can't let that happen, right? I can't loose you. If you would like she could join my pack. Would you like that love?" Wait... his pack? He's an alpha? "Uhm, yeah that would be great. Thank you kaden, but can I ask you something?" He grinned and turned to look at me. "Of course baby girl. Anything." I cleared my throat and  closed my eyes. " What is the name of your pack Karen?" He fave lost all emotion and he stayed silent for a short time before giving me his answer. "Red moon." I was shocked with fear from what he said. That's the pack that killed my dad and brother. The pack is the strongest and most feared of the werewolf world. My mate just happened to be the leader of the heartless pack. I never would have guessed that kaden was like that. He doesn't seem like he'd be so heartless. I need to know why they did it. Why they took away two people that I needed and that meant so much to me. "Why? Why did you kill them?"What did they do that could have been so wrong that you killed them?!" I snapped. His grip on the steering wheel tightened. "Not now." He said thought gritted teeth. Is he serious? I want my answer! He can't keep that away from me. "Kaden!? Why?" I am beyond furious that he's keeping this away from me. Why won't he tell me?! "Goddamnit, I said not now Camille! Now drop it! You hear me?! Just you talking is infuriating me even further so why don't you do yourself a favor and shut the füçk up!" That hurt. I honestly don't get it. What's his problem? "You know what Kaden?! Fine I'll stop. I Camille Neveah reynolds reject you, alpha Kaden as my mate. Now, Kaden I'm done." I could tell he was in pain and shocked at what I just said because he stopped the car staring at me with the wide eyes and hurt visiable in his face.
