My name is Karkat Vantas, a young mutant blood troll a low life, and I live with my older brother and father who turned into a priest after our mother gave birth to me and my brother. My brother's name is Kankri and my father's name is Signless, and I hate them both and to add onto that my mother died so I rely on my friend Kanaya to take care of me or act like my mother. She has always been a motherly figure to me and many other trolls, she is a very caring troll who doesn't judge people or trolls by looks or blood color. She's the only one, besides my family, that knows that I have red blood and she still takes care of me. I have some friends, more like very little friends but they are all very close to me. Both my brother and father tend to give me a long speech or lecture about me hanging out with some of my friends, they worry I'm going to pick up my friend Gamzee's habits of smoking pot and doing drugs in general. Right now it has been a long boring summer and I'm finally going back to school, collage to be specific and my father made sure both me and Kankri had dorms near each other. Kankri tends to hang out with Cronus and other people who are like him, Cronus's younger brother is dating one of my moirails Sollux. They have been dating for a while, but I now my flush crush will never like me back, he's dating Jade right now who isn't the best person for him to date. Then again I'm not the best person to date either, I have a tendency to talk and rant a lot. All my friends listen to me as I spill my feelings all over them, and are trying to get me to confess my feelings for Strider, to be honest it has been tough.
School starts a week and a half from now but our father is forcing us to get settled in early so we have no problems with stress, from unpacking a day before school starts. My brothers dorm is a door or two down from mine, which I share with Jade, Dave, and Sollux. This year is going to be a pain in my ass, but on the bright side there are four rooms in the dorm, a large living room, and three different bathrooms. Two bathrooms are in two different rooms of the dorm and the last bathroom is near the kitchen, which is half the size of the living room. Since I was the first one in the dorm, I got to choose my room which I choose the one closest to the outside world also known as the only room with windows. I really enjoy sitting on the windowsill and stare outside and watch as the kids, that got here early, walk through the gates. I knew Jade and Dave arrived by the large group of kids crowding around the couple shouting and taking pictures. To be completely honest I think Jade is only using Dave for his fame and the attention, I know she'll just backstab him once she has gotten enough power. Then again how would I know, I've never dated Dave or anyone really, I'm just a low blooded mutant that has on one to call my own. I watched as the couple entered the building, then there was a knock on the dorm door. I walk out of my room and open the door to the school hallway, I instantly smiled slightly seeing Sollux wiha bunch of bags in the hallway.
I help Sollux inside and put his stuff in the room next to mine, knowing that he wanted a room next to mine. He started setting up his computer and two large monitors that he used for coding and chatting with friends. I helped out a little before hearing the door to the dorm open, shoutin and laughing were heard between me and Sollux. We exited the room and saw Jade kiss Dave's cheek, while he closed the door, which had the crowd scream out their ship name that I could care less about. Both me and Sollux exchanged a loom before going to our separate rooms, trying to focus on unpacking our stuff and setting up our rooms.
A couple hours later Sollux came into my room and invited me to go food shopping with him then go for some coffee later on. H said he was going to bring Eridan and kanaya so we could all talk about my crush on the blinded Strider. I agreed and brought money just incase Sollux didn't bring enough money.
"So karkat how have you been nowadays, with family and all?" Sollux asked me grabbing a shopping cart.
"It's been okay, My dad made sure Kanki got a dorm that's a door or two down from us, he said it was so I didn't get in trouble" I answered grabbing a couple loafs of bread and a baggett. Sollux grabbed milk while I grabbed breakfast foods for the next couple of mornings, and also grabbed some sweets. Sollux got ice cream, and a couple of other sweets then we paid for the food. We thankfully had enough money for all of the foods we had bought, most of them were sweets and stuff for the mornings. Once we had put the food away in the fridge cabinets and freezer Dave and Jade came out of what i assumed to be Dave's room. I blushed slightly as Dave stared at me for a second, but I quickly turned my head to face Sollux, who had a cocky smirk on his stupid face which made me blush harder. Sollux smiled and raised one eyebrow, and chuckled as I walked away from the kitchen into the living room. I decided to watch Deadpool because it was both m and Sollux's favorite movie, which has romance, comedy, and gore/action. I expected Sollux to plop down next to me but to my surprise Dave sat next to me and Jade leaned against him, all I wanted was to watch my favorite movie with Sollux but no Dave just had to sit next to me.
"So Sollux... are you and Karkat a thing now or what?" Dave asked, I looked down at my lap wishing I could be alone with Sollux watching the movie, cause I know Dave and Jade will just end up making out in front of us. Since my husktop wasn't set up yet I had no choice but to watch this movie out here, in the living room, then I felt an arm snake around my waist, and a hand sip up my shirt slightly, rubbing my hip slowly. I blushed a deep red but turned my head away and tried to hide my Embarrassment. I heard snores coming from next to me, I look over to see Jade asleep on Dave's lap, Dave picked her up and put her in her room but came back and sat really close to me. He shooed Sollux away from us, and Sollux ended up just walking into his room. Dave pulled me into his lap, his arms were wrapped around my waist his head was resting on my shoulder, he nuzzled into my neck and squeezed me a little more.
"You know something karkitty, I really like you, a lot. More than Jade, I plan on breaking up with her tomorrow." Dave whispered in my ear, he kissed my neck and I blushed a deep rosy red, his hands traveled up my shirt and started to rub my chest slowly in a calming way. I started to feel really sleepy so I leaned on Dave's shoulder I took a deep breath in and another out. I fell asleep and Dave carried me into my room, where placed me on my bed and covered me up in my blankets, I slept peacefully that night, dreaming about me and Dave being in the same room sleeping, and cuddling the night away. All I know is that Jade is going to kill me tomorrow.
