Hi everyone. Amy here. Please enjoy this short book I will be writing, about 20 parts total, dedicated to Jen who apparently likes my stories. It will be different than the previous ones I've written but I hope you like?

Intoxicating.

Intoxicated, Harry thinks to himself, unfocused eyes scanning the room, thirty-three meters across.

Bodies are pressed together like they were made for each other, a little too rated r for the celebration of the year.

Supervisors are scattering like cats across the building trying to prevent children being conceived that night, although the limo ride to the event already took care of that for some.  Harry chuckles to himself and sips another glass of punch and telepathically thanks Ryan who starts climbing onto a table to dab. He's grateful for him spicing it up a notch, yet he's convinced the poor guy didn't know his limit before drowning four of them down.

Soft and silent smiles are sent his way as he's escorted out for being heavily intoxicated and under the legal age of drinking. He took one for the team. That will never be forgotten, although Ryan will probably wake up hungover tomorrow regretting spending prom night in a jail cell. At least he exited high school in style.

Harry shouldn't be there. In three months, he will start university at UCB and forget everyone in the room, his friends included. It's a bittersweet moment when he realizes, his transition has already begun, and he feels stupid for agreeing to show up.

His group of friends, or acquaintances his cynical side mumbles, surround him and begin to laugh manically at the scene before them. That's right. One of their best friends is going to end up in jail and no one has offered to bail him out or take him home. How's that for loyalty.

Harry doesn't bother either.

Their attention shifts over to the football stars who grace their presence with rowdy shouting at the opposite side of the room, causing ruckus on purpose.

"You'd think since half of them aren't even going to college, they would tone their arrogance down..."

"Bernard, what does it matter to you? Let them be dicks for the small amount of time they have left."

"Why? They're gonna be dicks for the rest of their lives."

Richard tilts his head and motions for the four guys around him to notice the crowd approaching them. Harry sighs, wishing Bernard would have shut his mouth for once. It doesn't happen. He pushes his whole frame that was resting on the wall previously and puts up a front.

He might not exit the school in style, but he's definitely not exiting as a coward.

"Well well well, if it isn't the schools rejects. What's the matter boys? Prom dates decided to ditch? I'm not surprised. I mean just look at you."

Charles side eyes Harry, expecting a comeback, but he doesn't bother, allowing him the floor.

"We tend to like our prom dates, non interchangeable. Seems to me all of you traded your spring formal dates, but who am I to judge?"

Charles winks and the lead quarterback immediately takes a stand forward, appearing ready for battle. It's all for show, Harry muses and chuckles silently in the back.
