Rowan's POV
*phone rings*
Doctor- Is this Ms. Rowan Carpenter?
Rowan- umm, yes, who is this?
Doctor- this is Doctor Roberts from the Regional Health Association, your step father has had a heart attack, and unexpectedly passed away, I'm so sorry we did everything that we could.
Rowan-...
Doctor- Ms. Carpenter are you still there?
Rowan- y-y-yes I-I-I'm here.
Doctor- is there anyone in your family that you could live with? If not, I can call a foster home for you.
Rowan- Yes, I can stay with my mom and my brother. I will call them ASAP
Doctor- okay, I'm so sorry for your loss Rowan
*ends phone call*
How could this happen? I just went out with friends, and next thing I know my step dad passes away *sobs*
*on the phone with Aaron*
Aaron- hey lil sis what are you up to?
Rowan- A-A-Aaron, I-I need y-your help
Aaron- woah! What happened?!
Rowan-our step dad had a heat attack *sobs*
Aaron, o-oh no, do I need to come to the hospital?
Rowan- no Aaron, he-he died
Aaron-wait.... so who are you with?!?!
Rowan- no one, that's why I called, to ask if you and mom could let me live with you.
Aaron- of course, but you would have to stay at the Magcon house with the boys and I.
Rowan- I mean, I really don't have a choice
Aaron- I'll be there in a hour, I talked it over with Cam, and he is fine with it. You'll have to stay in my room for a while until we clear out a room for you.
Rowan- okay, just please, please hurry.
Aaron- okay, I'll be there soon.
*call ends*
Skip forward an hour
I finish packing my things and I see Aaron and my boyfriend of two years Matthew Espinosa. He runs up and hugs me and Aaron brings my things to the car with tears flooding his eyes. We finally get everything in the car, and we start driving to the Magcon house.
Skip a little bit
Aaron's POV
Im trying to stay strong for Rowan, but it's hard; because my step dad pretty much raised me.
We get into the house and every greets Rowan and shows her around. I start feeling an anxiety attack so I run up to my room. About five minutes later Cam comes in with Rowan. She asks Cam to leave so we can talk.
Long story short we end up talking for a hour and we both are sobbing our eyes out. This covo consisted of our step dad, depression, anxiety, and the list goes on and on.
Rowan's POV
After talking with my brother which felt like for ages, we finally tell the boys goodnight and we head upstairs. Aaron ends up giving me his bed and he blew up an air mattress for himself.
I can't express how much I am grateful for him.
The middle of the night
Matt's POV
I wake up in the middle of the night and hear faint cries from the room beside me, "it's Rowan", I thought to myself. I run to Aaron's room and pick up Rowan bridal style and bring her into my room. She tells me about the dream she had, which only made her cry even more. She nuzzled up to my chest and fell asleep. I covered us up and texted Aaron.
Matt- hey, don't be alarmed if Rowan isn't in the room in the morning, she's with me. Don't worry we didn't do anything😂
Aaron- oh, okay, what happened?
Matt- she had a dream about your step dad, and I heard her crying, so I came and got her.
Aaron- okay, thanks man.
Matt- no problem✌🏼
Aaron- night dude
Matt- night lol
