zombie appocalypse...suprise!

Chapter 1: no matter how much i try...

I was tired of all the bullshit everyone made. They made me want to shoot them in the face and I almost did. Being a police officer comes in handy. Lying to get out of going to jail  I was prepared for but a zombie apocalypse, Hell No I wasn't ready. When it happened I didn't know what the Hell was going on....I was afraid to find out too. So I quickly had to find out when the things took my sister. I had pulled a gun on them fast not knowing anything else I could do besides keep shooting. Eventually I would kill them. By the time I had made it to my sister though, she was dead. I had to move on I guess but I didn't It still haunts me...each day. Last time someone I loved had died it was my brother. I know he had it coming but he had been the one to teach me many things.... some a little personal than others. I had needed him and He needed me... I was not there for him though. As I saw that light fade from his eyes I had to shoot him in the head so he wouldn't turn. I needed to know more of course...about these things but my source was dead. Dead...not alive dead. Like every other sun of a bitch that decided to get themselves killed. I was NOT gonna be one of those stupid ass people. Surviving was necessary.It wasn't optional...It was necessary. People die everyday and No Matter How Much You Try there is a time we all die. I couldn't bare the fact of loosing more people right in front of my eyes. So I left everyone. My best friend Rick Grimes was in the hospital dead and I had to keep his wife Lori Grimes and his son Carl Grimes safe.  I knew they were still grieving over Rick but they would get over it, they had too. I knew I had to give Lori time to get over him but I think Carl is warming up to the idea of his dad being dead. When it had all started Rick was in the hospital possibly dead and I had no fucking clue what I was gonna do. The day Rick had got shot we were talking after arresting a guy and taking him to jail. We had stopped by for something to eat.  Rick had asked me about what the difference between men and women were. I had started with, " well I have never met a woman that knows the light switch goes both ways and not just one, On." he laughed at that comment. "I swear any woman I ever let have a key I would come home, house all lit up. And I guess because my chromosomes are different would then have to go through that house and turn every single damn light off. When I tried to say something about it then the exorcist voice comes out. You sound just like my damn father... always bitching about the power bill telling me to turn off the damn lights."  Rick looked over then and asked, " And what do you say to that?" I looked at him and smirked a little, " I know what I want to say. I want to say, Bitch so you mean to tell me you have been told your whole damn life and you still don't know how to turn off a damn switch?" Rick laughed as The radio crackled. There was a police chase in progress. We packed our lunch up and I threw it away as Rick began driving. We parked where the police chase was headed and We got out loading our guns and ready for anything. As the car flipped I was ready Rick stepped closer as The suspects got out of the car shooting at us. One of the shooters got Rick in the chest and I shot him yelling at rick, " rick u alright?" he gasped and sat up " yea....he got me in my vest." He looked back at me and told me while loading his gun " you do not tell Lori about this okay?" I was going to answer him but a suspect got out of the car and shot rick in the side...where there was no vest. I shot as best I could and shot him down and running over to rick I called over my shoulder " You get an ambulance out here now!!!" I looked back at rick. "shhhh... your gonna be alright...shhh" I had to get to the school to tell Lori and Carl. I had watched Carl cry over his dad and now Rick was dead. I had to take care of them both. Because Rick couldn't protect them anymore.
