The disaster

Hey this is a short story I did for a competition a while ago so it may not be the best but thought I would publish it anyway. It was a 100 word competition so that it why it is so short xxx

Penny and her dad were driving over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco when they realised a huge tsunami heading their way! Her dad, Nick, quickly drove off the bridge but sadly after, they were separated to be moved to safety. Penny watched for the top floor of a hotel as other residents wash away before her very eyes. Still in shock, Penny went to explore the aftermath. Astonishingly, she finds her dad alive. Now they are going to start a new society with other residents they had found!!
