Lauren P.O.V 

I woke up the piercing sound of my alarm. I turned it off and went to get ready. Today is my first day at my new school in New Jersey. Back at my old school in California, I was really struggling with making friends. I was bullied a lot, and I was on the verge of suicidal thoughts. So, my mom decided to move us somewhere far, far away. Where I can start a new life. With new friends and a new me. I decided to wear something not too serious.  It was already about 7:30 and it was time for me to leave.

"Ok, Lauren, do good in school." 

"Thanks, mom wish me luck." 

I shut the door and went to walking. I eventually got to school. It was like a jungle in there. People bullying each other, making out in the halls, and the cliques. Man, it felt like I never left. While walking down, I felt stared down at. Just like back in Cali. I kept people snickering and talking about me.  Ew, what is she wearing?  She is so ugly. Man, she is such a dork! Tears were eventually streaming down my face until I bumped into someone. 

"Oh my god, I am so sorry." I said shyly. 

"No, I'm sorry. I was in your way. Here let me help you out." he said while helping me pick up my books off the ground. 

" Thanks." I said blushing 

"No problem. Hey, are you new here? Cause you look a little bit lost." he said chuckling. 

"Yeah. I just moved here from California. First day. I need some major help here. " I said smiling. 

"Oh, cool! I always wanted to visit California. And btw, I didn't catch your name." 

"Oh, it's Lauren." 

"Pretty name. My name is Ethan.  Also, I am willing to help you around." he said winking. 

*Skip tour*

"Here is Mr. Scuppie's class." he said smiling. 

"Thanks, Ethan." 

"Oh, and hey there is a party at 8 at Aaron's house. I'll see you there?" he said winking. 

"Yeah. I'll see you around." I entered the classroom and sat in the front. Then a girl decided to sit next to me. 

"Hey, my name is Claudia." she said smiling. 

"Cool. I'm Lauren." 

"Nice. And hey, you wanna hang later. Cause I heard you were going to Aaron's party?" 

"Yeah, that would be nice." Finally, a friend. 

The bell rang, the class was starting and teaching until I heard a door open. I don't usually curse but, Damn, He was something.
