Sesshomaru's Real Mother

Chapter 8

~~~~With Kagome~~~~
Kagome was fuming honestly who the hell did he think he was? Just because he was the "great dog general" didn't mean that he could tickle her! She was a miko and just because she had a friendly relationship with his sons' didn't mean that he was allowed to do whatever he wanted!

Kagome then picked up a rock and chucked it at the water which made a plopping sound when it hit the water's surface, Kagome then began to chuck things that she could get her hands on. Finally, after a while of throwing stuff around she had finally calmed down and slumped right up against a tree.

Kagome was somewhat calm but nowhere near to go back and face Toshio, she might end up purifying him just so she could feel better. Even though that was what she wanted to do she couldn't do that, not only would it mess up the time stream but she doubts that she would live long enough to actually purify him.

"Maybe shock him instead?" Kagome thought to herself as she contemplated with what type of revenge to seek out on him, though while she was contemplating she failed to notice the being that sneaking close to her. Kagome lost in her thoughts of revenge had failed to notice the intruder until she felt something brush against her side. Without even thinking Kagome did the only natural thing that came to her . . . she screamed.

~~~~With Toshio~~~~
Toshio was pacing back and forth trying to find the right words to say to Kagome, without setting her off again and have her yell at him some more. His poor ears had finally stopped ringing and he did not want them to start ringing again. Just as he was thinking about what to say to Kagome, there was scream that rang out in the air.

There was no one else nearby there was only him and . . . Kagome! Toshio turned towards were the scream had come from and at a blinding speed raced towards, where not only the scream came from but where he could also smell Kagome was at. He wasn't far off and with his speed he would make it there in no time.

~~~~Regular View~~~~
When he reached where Kagome's scent was the strongest he looked around trying to see where was Kagome and to see if there was any attackers as well. But there was nothing Toshio frantically looked around to see if he could spot anything that gave away as to a clue that Kagome may still be nearby or at least a trail that lead to where she might be.

But there was nothing, Toshio lifted his nose on the air and tried to find her scent. Though when he scented the air he only smelled Kagome's scent and no other, but he could barely smell another scent. Just as he was about to call out for Kagome he heard some rustling coming from behind a bush.

Toshio turned towards the bush and spread the bush apart to find Kagome's back towards him, he wasn't sure what she was doing but he could see that she was at least messing with something. "Kagome?" At the sound of her name being called Kagome turned her head and saw Toshio.

Kagome smiled up at him, "Toshio! Look what I found!" Kagome then turned fully around and raised her hands up towards his face showing off a cute little Kiara look alike. Toshio blinked, this was not what he had thought to find . . . at all. "Ugh . . . Kagome is that why," He pointed at the small little fire neko, "you screamed?"

Kagome blinked once, twice, three times before she gave a sheepish smile. "Oh, I guess I did." Kagome chuckled a bit as she then realized why he was there. He heard her scream and thought that she was being attacked and had come to save her. Kagome was touched that he had come to protect her but then felt guilty because it was nothing in the end.

"Gomenasai, Toshio. I didn't mean to shinpai you." Kagome lowered her eyes, Toshio sighed and gently put his hand on top of her head.
"Sono daijobu, Kagome. Hoka ni I am willing to bet that this little guy-"
"Girl." Kagome said with a small smirk on her face, Toshio smiled at her.
"Girl, surprised you no doubt."

"Hai!" Toshio smiled down at Kagome and ruffled her hair in a playful manor, Kagome just smiled at his antics. Before either of them knew it the small kitten in Kagome's hands jumped at Toshio and landed on top of his head and began to kneed the top of his head before it settled down to rest.

Kagome was trying to hold back her laughter at the expressions that Toshio was making while the little kitten kneed his head, once it had settled down and began to sleep peacefully Toshio breathed a sigh of relief. He was a surprised that the little kitten had settled itself on the top of his head but he was even more pleased when he no longer felt its little sharp claws scratching his head.

When Toshio looked over at Kagome, she found that she couldn't hold her laughter in anymore. Kagome let lose her held in laughter, she was holding her sides as she tried her best not to fall over with laughter. It was all just too much for her, besides it also looked like he had a fluffy crown on the top of his head!

Oh, how badly she wished that she had a camera with her right now. Meanwhile Toshio was waiting for Kagome to stop laughing, at first he was a bit annoyed but then he figured that he deserved this punishment for what he had done to her earlier. Well . . . at least now they were even.

Toshio crossed his arms over his chest as Kagome leaned against the tree. "Are you quite done yet, Kagome?" At his words Kagome calmed down enough to a few chuckles and looked back over at a somewhat annoyed Toshio. Kagome straighten up and said with a bit of a chuckle, "Yes, I am done." and with that she picked the sleeping kitten off of his head and turned back towards their camp.

"Oh, and just in case you think that I forgot. We're even now Toshio." Kagome called over her shoulder as she walked back to their camp. Toshio blinked as he stared after the retreating figure of Kagome, he smiled to himself as he walked after her. "Yes, we are even now." Was his only thought as he soon caught up to her and the sleeping kitten in her arms.
