Phoebe was getting herself ready outside with her beautiful appendix mare name Jazz "Alright Jazz, trailer is all set up and ready to go." Phoebe led Jazz into the trailer as Arnold came by "Forgot this horse?" he asked as he load Lachlan into the trailer with Jazz, Lachlan is a lustino saddle bred mixed that was loaded on to the trailer "This is exciting Arnold, I wonder if our friends from 12 years ago will be there?" "They might Phoebe, now come on and get in the car." Arnold head for the driver's side "Wanna drive?" Phoebe asked as she got into the front seat of the passenger's side "Alright, let's go. We can not keep Mrs Frizzle waiting." and with that Phoebe and Arnold were on their way to Walkerville Elementary to the fair where they hope to see Mrs Frizzle and their friends from 12 years ago.

Meanwhile in the streets of Walkerville, there were two students that were in Mrs Frizzle's class 12 years ago, there was a boy wearing a red cap on his head, wearing a green shirt that has a letter R on the front in Red. His name is Ralphie Tennelli and beside him was a girl wearing a pink shirt, a red vest and red pants. Her name is Wanda Li. She and Ralphie have been dating for a year and they both enjoy sports and they love to play in sports. Ralphie was a coach for football, baseketball, soccer and even baseball, Wanda was a teacher at Walkerville Elementary school so she and Ralphie see Mrs Frizzle whenever they visit Mrs Frizzle's classroom they say hi to Mrs Frizzle and they even show Mrs Frizzle how much they still love Mrs Frizzle and her field trip, then they ran into Keesha and Tim who were dating for 7 months "Hey Ralphie." Keesha said "Hey Wanda." added Tim "So where are you guys going?" asked Keesha, she was wearing a purple shirt with a blue stripe along with blue tights and purple shoes. Keesha is a actress who acts in movies, Tim who was wearing a blue shirt and jeans was also a actor too who acts in movies as well "We're going to Walkerville Elementary school, there is a fair being held today." replied Ralphie.

"And we are helping out." Wanda added "Cool, that is where we are heading." "We are going there to visit Mrs Frizzle and see how she is doing." Keesha said "She's doing good, I wonder if we will get to see Carlos and Dorothy Ann today?" "We might Wanda, but I want to know how Arnold and Phoebe are doing too." replied Ralphie "Dorothy Ann is a scientist and she does allot of research, and Carlos who she is dating is the same thing as Dorothy Ann." Tim said "I heard Phoebe is now a police officer making a shit load of money, now she has her own police horse to replace her other one that she had to put down." "It'll be nice if we get to see Phoebe." Wanda said as Dorothy Ann and Carlos showed up walking beside their friends "Hey guys, what are you doing?" "We're going to a fair that is being held in Walkerville Elementary school, we are going to visit Mrs Frizzle and see how she is doing." replied Ralphie "We're here now." Dorothy Ann said, in the school field there were food stands and even bouncy tents and fun games for everyone to enjoy "You have a car?" Wanda asked her friends "We have a car, but me and Tim thought it is a beautiful day so why not walk here, it is a only 10 minute walk from our house." Keesha said "We decided to walk to Wanda, it is a beautiful day." Dorothy Ann said "It was only a 5 minute walk from our house." Carlos added "I heard there will be two horses here once we see them." Wanda and her friends walked across the street to Walkerville Elementary school. Just then Ralphie saw a police car with a horse trailer passing by Walkerville Elementary, they were parked on the parking lot "Is it just me or is that a police car?" "It is a police car Ralphie, and you are getting arrested." Keesha laughed "What?!" Ralphie shouted "I am just kidding Ralphie." then stepped out of the police car was a man with orange hair and glasses "Arnold is a police officer?" Ralphie asked.

Then another police officer stepped out of the car she had brown hair that has gotten a bit longer past the shoulders "Phoebe is here too, by why do they share the same police car?" "I do not know Ralphie." said Carlos as the two police officers got their horses out of the trailer, they notice their friends as they walked towards them, Jazz who tried to take off was stopped and slowed down by Phoebe "Easy girl, no need to get too crazy." Phoebe calmed Jazz down "Phoebe! Arnold!" their friends said as they all got in a group hug "Wow, I knew I should have never stayed home today for this." "It's been such a while, how are you guys all doing?" Phoebe asked "Great, and we are ready for action and to see Mrs Frizzle." Ralphie said as the principal of Walkerville Elementary showed up "Well look at what I have here, long time no see. My old friends from Mrs Frizzle's class." Mr Ruhle said "We have been doing fine with jobs and that." Wanda said "Where is Mrs Frizzle?" asked Arnold "I thought she would be here looking for us." "She just disappeared and I am not sure where she is." replied Mr Ruhle "Do you mind if me and Arnold both take a look inside the school to see where would she be?" Phoebe asked "Be my guest officer Phoebe and Arnold." Phoebe gave Wanda the lead rope that has Jazz on the other end "Wanda, can you please look after Jazz for me?" "Ok Phoebe, I will keep a eye on her." Phoebe looked to see Dorothy Ann holding Lachlan by lead rope "Take care of Lachlan for Arnold Dorothy Ann." "I will Phoebe and Arnold, I will make sure these horses are safe." Phoebe and Arnold walked inside of the school.

"Mrs Frizzle where would you be?" Phoebe looked at a window that shows the parking lot outside "Maybe Mrs Frizzle needed to go home to get something." Arnold said "How come she did not take her car?" Phoebe asked "Her car is in front of us." "Maybe she got a ride or something." Arnold and Phoebe then heard Mrs Frizzle singing "It's coming from her classroom." Phoebe and Arnold look to see Mrs Frizzle singing and smiling at the same time "Mrs Frizzle?" Phoebe asked "It's us, Arnold and Phoebe. We have come to your classroom to visit the fair and you." Mrs Frizzle notice the two students from 12 years ago "Phoebe and Arnold!" she gave the two officers a hug "My have you both gotten big, and mature enough now that you have a job." "Mr Ruhle wanted us to get you out to the fair to help out." Mrs Frizzle smiled "I have been so busying getting the balloons all blown up for the balloon dart game I can't believe I did not know that I would be longer than I thought." Mrs Frizzle grabbed all the balloons with Phoebe and Arnold's help they went to the balloon dart game stand. While Mrs Frizzle was getting her dart game stand set up, Phoebe and Arnold tacked up Lachlan and Jazz and got on, they entered the school yard which Phoebe and Arnold got their horses to canter on the field, the canter was at a fast pace which Phoebe and Arnold were used to it. They did some jumping which there was chairs holding a long stick across from which other for the police officers and their horses to jump over, after their ride Jazz and Lachlan laid down after their tack was taken off.

Phoebe and Arnold walked to see Mrs Frizzle at the balloon dart stand, Phoebe and Arnold's friends joined in "Alright you guys, whoever can hit the balloons with these 8 darts will win a big prize." Mrs Frizzle said, however most of the students tried but they did not win the big prize, then Arnold and Phoebe who were the only ones who have not played the dart game yet "You want to go Phoebe?" Arnold asked "I do not know Arnold, at my old school we never played balloon dart, plus I do not know if I can do it." "You can Phoebe, we believe in you." Dorothy Ann encourage Phoebe "I am a bit rusty, but I can do it and I will." Phoebe grabbed all 8 darts, she threw the first one and popped a balloon "Very good, keep it up." Phoebe threw dart after dart until she popped all 8 balloons in 8 darts "You did it Phoebe!" everyone shouted as Mrs Frizzle handed Phoebe her prize which was a large stuff horse "Now I want to know where I want to put it." Phoebe said and then Mrs Frizzle has an idea "Come class from 12 years ago, follow me." Mrs Frizzle says as her class from 12 years ago followed Mrs Frizzle to the magic school bus, Janet who was in front of the bus "It's a field trip, that was my guess." Janet said smiling.

Chapter 3 preview

"It is a field trip after 12 years." Arnold said "Mrs Frizzle, is it ok if me and Arnold with our horses follow you in our police car?" Phoebe asked, she did not want Arnold to be a bit too nervous "Sure Phoebe, whenever you are ready we can go." Mrs Frizzle said "It's a overnight trip class, pack your things and be back at this school." everyone that was in Mrs Frizzle's class 12 years ago went back home to pack their things, when that was all taken care of they were all back at the school. Phoebe and Arnold were going to take their police car and follow Mrs Frizzle and the other kids on the magic school bus, they started driving down the street "I wonder where are we going for our overnight field trip that we had in 12 years?" Arnold asked "I am not sure, but this will give us a great time to relax and have fun wherever we go."
