The magical land of Endle

Life in Lexia

"I'll be down in a minute." A boy called as he hurried down the stairs to get his dinner which consisted of bread and a stew of meat and herbs.

"I hope you like it Gallien the market gave us a great deal and we were able to buy a whole steak for 10 shillings." This was the voice of Galliens Uncle a man of middle class wealth in the city a merchant by trade.

"I'm sure it'll be great Uncle. Mum and Dad used to make this a lot."  Gallien said with a half smile remembering that his parents had disappeared.

And that was all Gallien really knew his Uncle had never really told him much. Of course he probably didn't know either. When he was about 6 his mother and father left him with his Uncle and Aunt informing him that he would be staying.

That... was two months ago and now he was now beginning to accept that.

"It's ok. I miss them too." His Uncle said putting his hand on Galliens shoulder

Gallien looks up at his Uncle smiling. "I hope we see them again some day."

"Me too... but you better eat that food I don't think your Dad feel good if my food was left out in the cold"

Gallien laughs then starts eating "you're probably right."

Shortly after that he is sent to bed for the night his Aunt tells him stories of great Mages and their fights with monsters. Gallien always loved her stories because she'd use a bit of magic to spice them up. If a mage casted a fireball she'd summon a tiny flame and have it float around him, If a suit of armor came to life she'd make a helmet float.

This was something she very much enjoyed. She was a performer in the city of Lexia. It was her passion to express the stories she'd heard from brave warriors of her city.

"And so after the knights had defeated the skeletal king they were able to save town of Karan and claim the treasure." A small chest began to float in the background.

"The end." She said softly to a young Gallien beginning to fall asleep.

"Good night Auntie." He said tiredly.

"Sweet dreams." She said before she left the room.
