My Only One

- Chapter 1 -

Katina

"Eat your medicine before you go to school."

My mother reminded me as I walked to the door and wore my shoes.
The bus station just looks as same as before. It's my first time riding a bus again after 2 years of the accident.
I wasn't traumatized at first but as soon as I sat on the back seat I sat before, I felt dizziness on my head,probably because my body does remembers the accident.

I arrived school at the time where no students are there yet,just some of book worms and nerds.

I have a bestfriend named Sally, I know it's a mainstream name but she is an one-of-a-kind friend whom you'll never find on this entire earth.
She's bright unlike me,she loves hanging out with random people and above that, she's like my sister. We
share secrets, gossip,including watching Pretty Little Liars.

School goes the same,nothing different.
It's just that the class have been going a little crazy about this captain of the basketball team.The school's a fuss because of that,I don't even want to know why.

"Kat,have you heard about the new captain of the basketball team? He's so hot." I turned to look at Sally who was holding a cup of ice tea.
"Not interested." I replied stealing her cup of tea.
"Why not? Try to have some fun Kat, life is supposed to be like that." she replied as she sat down beside me.
"Nope,you do the fun." I said as I showed my sarcastic smile.
I've always done that. I had never gone to outings,party or even a school celebration.
"Interested to the year-end party? It's gonna be fun Kat! Especially because it's going to be in that hot guy's house! I heard he lives in a mansion.Don't regret your decision Kat!" she said as she walked out of my class.

Although I didn't want to go, I felt that my heart wanted to go and feel what it feels like a highschooler.So probably.Just probably,I'll go.

Days has past and it's the day of the year-end party.Katina has decided that she would go to the party and that she would dress up at Sally's.

"I'll take this." I told Sally that I would be choosing this baby pink lacey dress.
"Doesn't that look too kiddy?" Sally answered with her brows frowned as she showed me a red revealing dress.
"How about this one?" she asked showing me it.
"It's too revealing Sal." I said as I looked into other clothes.
"Then this one!" I showed her a simple pink dress with a ribbon as a belt.
"You sure do love pink. Hurry up and get changed!" She replied as she looked into clothes for her.

We arrived to the party quite late.Some of the guys were already drunk and some of the girls already went home.

"A little late,huh?" I turned back and saw Jeremy, the 'class-clown' leaning in a tree.I assumed he's drunk.

"Get lost." Sally said to him as we walked into the house.

There were still guys inside the house playing playstations and girls chit-chatting near the pool.

For the next hour,Sally has offered my my third drink and I was feeling sick due to the alcohol.So I decided to sit in a swing near the pool.
"Boring huh?" A voice startled me from my back that made my turn and see who it was.
Turns out,Jacob Hudson,the captain of the basketball club Sally mentioned to me not long ago.
"Well,kinda." I replied trying not to match his eyes.
"Want to take a walk outside? I bet you'll like the view." He said as he looked onto his watch.

"Sure."

As we were walking,the atmosphere were just awkward,nothing else.
When suddenly he breaks the silence,
"What class are you in?,I think I've never seen you before."
"Um,science.."
"It's beside my class,now I'm getting suspicious."
"Suspicious,why?" I was startled because I was scared I'd look weird.
"Joking."

As the night turns darker,he offered me that he would bring me home.
"It's already past 11,should I bring you home now?" he said looking to his watch.
"I came with my friend,I'm fine."
"I don't think so.You're a girl and it's near midnight.It might be dangerous."
"Really,I'm fine." I refused as I tiptoe searching for Sally.

I looked near the living room and Sally passed out with a guy,drunk.

I had no choice.

"I'll take that offer." I said shyly looking up to him.
"Alright,let's go."
