Chapter 3. Why me?

I looked down at the expensive watch in my hand. The expensive STOLEN watch that is. I turned to face Todomatsu, while still speechless. We had made it back to the house without an issue, but I hadn't spoken to Todomatsu at all yet. "Gee, Choromatsu-niisan, never knew you were such a thief!~" Todomatsu cooed. I sat up quickly, feeling slightly offended. "What the hell do you mean, "I'm such a thief" ??? You stole this!" I said in a defensive tone. He giggled in a girlish tone. Like this was some sort of game. "Suuurreee, I stole it. See if anyone will belive that one. All I have to say is that I was home all day." He says with all smirk.

That little demon.

"If anything they'll think you're lying! They know you're much more willing to do this type of thing than me!" I nearly shouted back. The sound of the front door unlocking caught my attention. I shoved the watch back into my pocket just as Karamatsu and Osomatsu walked in. I tried to act like I was internally panicking. But I could tell my façade wasn't really convincing. "Ah, K-Karamatsu, Osomatsu, how w-was pachinko?" I stammered nervously. Karamatsu raised a brow but didn't address the fact that I was sweating balls. "Ah, no luck today. But tomorrow is a new day. Perhaps we'll have more good luck tomorrow." He said as he placed his hand on his chin. I cringed a bit but managed to force out an awkward smile. "Ah, well me and Todomatsu just stayed here today." I lied. Karamatsu's face immediately switched from smiling to a concerned look. "Um, my bruzza, are you feeling alright? You look..." He was cut off by Osomatsu. "Like you've seen a ghost." He said, in a odd tone. "N-no! I mean....No, I'm fine." I stuttered, trying to keep my hand on the watch in my pocket. Both Osomatsu and Karamatsu stayed silent with a unreadable expression for a moment. But just as I was about to speak again the front door opened. "AHAHAHA! HII CHOROMATSU-NIISAAAANNN!!" Jyushimatsu yelled as he basically pounced on me. Ichimatsu walked in behind him. He was silent as usual. When Jyushimatsu glomped me I stumbled back and had to take my hand out of my pockets as I tried to steady myself. But I heard something hard fall onto the floor near me....

"B-bruzza? What is..." Karamatsu bent over and picked up the gold watch off of the floor. "What..where did you get this from?" He asked as he look at the watch closely. "Holy shit, dude is that real?" Osomatsu asked as he pointed at the watch. I set Jyushimatsu down on the floor and took a few steps back nervously. I could hear Todomatsu giggling under his breath from behind me. "I uh...its not....its didn't..." I choked out. My face felt like it was on fire. Ichimatsu even had a slightly surprised look. "Uh, niisan...did you...steal?" Jyushimatsu asked, with a shocked expression. "N-no! I would never-"
"Then how did you afford it?" Ichimatsu cut me off. I started to hyperventilate out of sheer terror. "It was Todomatsu! He's the one who walked out of the store with it!! I didn't want any part of it!" I yelled, pointing at Todomatsu. He let out a fake surprised gasp. "That is SUCH a lie! I don't steal! I by the knock off brands for cheap and you know it!" He said as he put his hands on his hips. "Bruzza, stealing? I thought you you above this kind of thing..." Karamatsu says; his voice drenched with disappointment. "I swear to God! I had no part in this! Todoma-" before I could finish Karamatsu placed his hand on my shoulder. "We'll discuss this in the morning." He said, and left the room. I was left standing there with the rest of my brothers. All of them giving me disappointed stares. I looked over at Todomatsu, who was playing games on his phone, and smirking victoriously.
