Layla left her families massive mansion at age fourteen to attend her dream school, the Saint Elliot Boarding School after receiving a letter call her to join 19 other students at Saint Elliots.

Then there's Zachary Giovonn, Layla's only best friend back at Spring Brooks most nerds were bullied, but being the best friend of the most popular boy at their school, you could say... she was the 'popular' nerd. Zach says it was love at first sight from the moment he met the young Ms. Hampton, Layla. Unable to convince Layla to stay back, Zach is heartbroken and changes to playboy ways. When Roseline Hampton, Layla's sister, and the 'supposed' love of Zach's life is involved in a car accident, which to Layla, seems much like a hit and run, she is forced to go back to Spring Brooks with her new found spy friends, Gabrielle and Adrian.

Zach has never really loved Roseline is was just a little crush, although she loved him with her heart. Zach dated her because she looked so much like Layla.  When Layla's back in town, Zach's going to do everything to keep Layla from leaving.
