I wake up with the bird screeching sounds of my screen to alert me it was time to get ready for my first day of school or something along those lines.

I brush my teeth and wash my face. Also back to seeing the birds' nest hair, I sigh in defeat and brush it out to tie it in a ponytail once again. I also check my daily notifications to see that Aoi has sent me back a message. "Alright, just text me back if you have any problems! ;))" I snorted at her winky double chin.

"Actually, I won't be coming to work anymore. Sorry. Can you please drop by my place today? I need to talk to you asap." I typed back.

I head out the door to see the one and only Prince there dressed in fancy clothing. I roll my eyes and wave my hands, "Yo"

He raises his eyebrows at me, "Yo? Really?"

I nodded my head, "Duh, it's the new trend."

"Well anyways, I'm here to take you to the castle for your first lesson."

My eyes almost popped out, "N-now? I can't right now."

"Why not?"

I looked away, "I need to do something first."

He sighed, "Fine, I'll be here to pick you up later in an hour. Don't be late. You know if you're any later than 10 my father will be pissed."

I did a dramatic bow, "Thank you for your extremely kind consideration."

He, in turn, said, "Yes, you should be." Despite his words, you could hear the playful tone in his voice.

He teleported away and I headed back to my cottage.

A while later, I heard a knock on my door. I went to open it and Aoi greeted me with a cheerful smile. "Hey Mino what's up."

Switching on my sarcasm, I greeted her back. "The sky."

She pouted adorably, "Aww, don't be like that."

We laughed together and headed inside.

"But honestly, what's wrong." She asked me, her face graced concern.

I took a deep breath, "I'm the one in the legend." I said deciding not to beat around the bush.

Her jaw dropped in shock, "You're not kidding, are you?"

I stared at her, "Does it look like I'm joking around right now?"

She started breathing in and out, "Well this is a surprise since we all knew you really didn't know if you'd even have any powers."

"Yea, the prince is going to pick me up in less than an hour to the castle for lessons."

If she wasn't shocked enough, she now looked like she's seen a ghost. "How much did I exactly miss in the three days that I left you alone?"

I then began to explain everything to her.

At the end, she looked at me and recounted everything I just told her. "So the prince saved you during your fear of fire. Then took you to the castle. Then all of this happened when the King invited you to the castle the next day for a checkup on powers and you found out that you're the legend."

I nodded my head in confirmation.

"Just to let you know, I'll always have your back no matter what." She assured me with determination in her eyes.

My heart felt like a million bricks has been lifted off, I sighed in relief. "I'm so glad you're not gonna leave me."

"If anyone's leaving, it'd be you leaving me for the prince." She smirked at me.

I choked on air and spluttered, "W-What? What the hell."

She shot me a sly smile right when there was a knock on the door.

I ignored her and opened the door.

The prince eyed me, "It's time to go." Then he realised that Aoi was inside, well he didn't know her but he knew someone was inside. "Who's that?"

I was about to answer before Aoi cut me off. "Oh me? I'm Mino's best friend/sister. Whatever way you want to see it. Also, IF YOU BREAK MY SIS'S HEART I HOPE YOU KNOW YOUR DEAD I GOT BLACK BELT IN KARATE. Nice meeting you." She shrugged to end her introduction.

The prince blushed a deep red and brushed it aside. "You ready to leave?"

I nodded, "Aoi," I eyed her, giving her a look that said a million words, mostly consisting of "I'll kill you" "Don't ruin the place" "You're gonna die".

She knew what I meant by the look and sheepishly nodded.

I took one look back and left.

- -

"So that was who again?"

"That's my best friend, but since we both don't have parents we say we're sisters." I shrugged.

"I didn't know you didn;t have parents."

"Well, I'm glad you didn't go all stalkerish on me," I smirked.

His cheeks were slightly tinted with red, but he still managed a retort, " I can if I want."

Now it was my turn to be embarrassed. "Ugh, whatever."

Without realising, we arrived at a pair of normal sized doors. Finally God something normal.

The prince chuckled at my thought.

"Hey! Little privacy doesn't kill." I whined.

He ignored me and continued walking towards the door, but instead of pushing it, he voice commanded it. "Open up."

"Wow, lazy much." I roll my eyes.

"No, it actually voice recognises your voice. You have to be an authorised person in order to enter this room."

I freaked out, "Oh my god really, what kind of mechanisms do they use? Oh, what coding do you get this? Oh oh, can I plea-" I started to ramble then realise I was rambling and should stop. I looked sheepishly at him, "Oh sorry haha."

"You have an interest in these mechanisms?"

"Yea yea like it's so interesting to learn about all of this, like how you place the mechanisms to get a different effect and stuff like that I should really stop before I start rambling." I looked at my shoes.

KASHINO'S POV

Seeing her ramble on about something she cared about, her eyes glistened in happiness. Something I've never seen before, before her eyes were always cold, filled with emptiness even though she never showed it.

Seeing her like this made me happy.

"I can show you to the mechanism room later on if you want." I offered, surprising myself. I hardly do things like this.

Her face displayed surprise, but she looked down and nodded, excepting my offer.

Mino's POV

Getting a grasp on my powers was a piece of cake, except fire. I desperately did not want to use it. And due to my stubbornness, Kashino let me go to practice the other powers.

So far, I've got my water powers which were the easiest to use. The wind was relatively easy, the earth was slightly more challenging and spirit was surprisingly easier than earth and the wind. With telekinesis, teleportation and telepathy were a piece of cake to do once I was told how to use it.

I was also given sword since as the legend, I was supposedly also granted with amazing sword skills. I have never once in my life picked up a sword, and so I was a bit frightened, but Kashino helped me to can an ease on it. I picked up the sword and immediately felt my connection to the sword like we were one. Without the prince having to tell me I heard the sword telling me what to do and I followed with ease.

Kashino's mouth opened with shock clearly drawn on his face. "h-how, How did you even do that? That was one of the most superior moves even made and you pull it off without a sweat!"

I smirked, "Guess I'm just talented. Plus, you should close your mouth before you catch flies."

"Now you're just being smug." He whined like a baby.

I shrugged, "Well guess you can't teach me sword skills."

He gave in, "Guess we'll just work on your fire stuff."

I immediately started sweating, "Actually, let's work on our sword skills."

He eyed me, "No."

"Yes."

"no"

"yes"

"No."

This useless bickering went on until he said, "Fine, fight me. If you win then we won't work on your fire element, but if I win," I swallowed my breath, "We're working on your fire stuff."

"I don't really have a choice, do I?"

"Nope." He said popping the 'p'.

"Fine." I grabbed the sword I held a second ago since I felt like it gave me more confidence.

"I'll explain the rules, No critical hits if the opponent surrenders then the other person wins. Also, magic is allowed."

I nodded, "Let's get this thing started."
