The loud sound of the alarm woke her up and she lazily rubbed her eyes. 'Another day' Rose thought to herself as she turned off her alarm. She took a fast-morning shower, before getting dressed in light blue jeans with a white T-shirt that says 'Smile Some More' on the front. After getting ready she went to her kitchen and made a ham and cheese sandwich and took a huge bite before leaving her home and started walking to work.
Their family bakery is just two blocks away from her house, so Rose walked there every time. She had lived with her father for the past ten years, which she didn't mind. Her father was a great dad and has supported her choices most of the time. Keyword 'most' She did want to find her own place, one time, but her dad didn't allow it. Rose wasn't sure why, but her dad said it's because no one is going to stay at their house.
It was right though. Her father barely came home. He kept saying that he was busy with his other work, that Rose had no clue about. He put her in charge of their family business. She had a lot of good memories of her mother in the bakery, that's why she puts all her soul into it. She wanted to make her mom proud, but also her dad. She made her way into the shop and was greeted by a very familiar voice and face. A face she got tired of seeing every day.
"Morning Boss"
"Good morning, my favorite employee." Rose replies with a big smile on her face.
"Jessie Edwards. Her childhood best friend. They were so close that people mistakenly thought they were sisters. Both didn't mind, they grew up together, went to school together, went to prom and graduated together, and now they are working together. They basically did everything together, that's how close they are.
When it comes to looks, Rose felt like Jessie is a real queen beauty. She's 5'8" with lovely long black hair and emerald eyes, pointed nose, V-shaped face and long legs. Jessie was taller than her, had a beautiful slender figure and light brown skin. While her on another end, she believes that she looked ordinary. She's 5'5" and her messy brunette hair, blue eyes, round face, and small pointed nose. She wasn't big or skinny, just right in the middle, and she had a fair skin color.
"It's time to open up, are you ready Jess?"
"As ready as I'll ever be babes" Jessie said with a grin on the face.
Rose made her way to the front door of the bakery and turned the sign from closed to open. People started making their way in. Even though she was the boss, Rose is always in the kitchen baking, and Jess on the other hand is the cashier. She had just a few workers, but they are mostly off during the weekend, which she didn't mind, because both can handle the weekends, since this is what they did when they were young. Jess's parents were very happy with both girls' decision, working at the bakery, while taking online classes.
"So, I have a favor to ask you favorite sister of mine" Jess said as she makes her way to the kitchen after serving her last customer.
"You're an only child, and last time I checked my parents didn't have any other kid besides me" Rose jokingly said with a chuckle.
"Ah! You hurt my feelings. Alright, how about favorite friend of mine, will you do me a favor pleeeeaassee," Jess giving her puppy eyes. "With cherry on top?" Rose still ignored her and started prepping all her ingredients for later. "Rose with no middle name Wright, if you won't answer me right now, I will die from frustration" Her friend said in fake anger. 'She is being dramatic again' Rose said in her head.
