Hitori wa mou ii desu... Hitori wa mou ii desu...

With a slight provocation, my tired eyes were allured to a deep, deep fantasy where we can feel everything we've never felt before. Or in other words... a dream.

And that is when the story began.

***

"H-huh?"

My friend poked me right on my shoulder, made me spill the food I was about to eat. It was so lucky I didn't throw it to someone else.

"Are you okay? Seems like you're really tired. Did works beat your brain up?"

"N-no, no. I, er... I don't have enough sleep recently."

Whoa, works. Perhaps I work in some business office and usually have a lunch with my colleagues. I looked at my own outfit–which was more similar to an uniform–and found out that everyone was wearing the same outfit.

"Eh... Really, huh. Well, eat up and let's go back to the dorm. You have to get enough sleep! Or you want your roommate to sleep with you on your bed?" she said with a very big, yet mysterious smile.

"I don't think it's necessary... But thank you for your help, anyway."

"You're welcome! That's what friends supposed to do, right? Teehee..."

So I was a high-schooler, after all, who lived in a dormitory with a kind-hearted roommate. Although I didn't know her name, strangely I had a feeling that I was really close to her... Such as best friends, I assume.

After eating, I went back to the dormitory with my roommate and had a long sleep until night. It took me a while to find out that my roommate was nowhere to be found, even though I believed she also fell asleep right after we got in our room. Probably she only went to the bathroom.

Felt nothing is wrong, I decided to continue my sleep. Then I jumped after I heard someone kicked my door. And there she was, looking at me with a terrible face, and shouted so loudly as she burst into tears.

"The headmaster's son is here! RUN!!!"

I spontaneously got off my bed and ran with my roommate towards the way out. I didn't know who the headmaster's son is and I didn't know why we must run away from him. But I was sure that danger had come to us. "Who is the headmaster's son!? Why do we have to run away from him!?" I asked her.

"He's dangerous! H-he could kill us all!"

"But who is he!?"

"N-nobody knows who he is- Behind you!!!"

I turned my head to see what was she pointing at and I found out that someone–a boy–was behind me. Hadn't seen his face yet, I was pushed–thrown, rather–to the other side. I shouted in pain when my back hit the wall, then I fell to the floor weakly. Knowing that the culprit may also attack my roommate, I told her to run away as fast as possible. Fortunately, she nodded with a sad face and ran away, leaving me behind with the culprit.

The culprit once again threw me to the wall, making my back burning so hot. Still, I couldn't see his face because of his rapid reactions. Until a time when I saw a gap, I quickly turned the table by kicking his legs. I was happy I could see his face, but it turned out to be quite shocking to find out.

"S-Senpai...?"

It was strange. I didn't know who Senpai is, but I felt a strong bond with him. Not like friends or best friends, it was more than that...

Someone else–a girl–attacked my legs by using a penknife. Not a very pleasant way to pull me back to the real situation I was facing. I fell down to the floor and was stabbed on my shoulder by Senpai. I shouted in pain once more, so hurt I couldn't even feel my shoulder anymore. Knowing that there was no time left, I quickly took the knife, shouted again, and used it to attack Senpai. While he was in pain, I ran towards the way out. My blood kept falling down, my back aching so hard, my consciousness blurring so fast.
