During my run I decided to stop by my favorite spot in the forest. I used to go there when I was little, and as far as I know I'm the only one that knows about it. I slowed down and stopped by some bushes, near the only three olk trees in this area of the woods, in between two cliffs. I looked around to see if anyone saw me, or happened to be near. I gave one last look assuring myself I was alone. I ran quickly into the bushes, and came out on the other side of the two cliffs.
There it was. It was a small fresh water spring, making a little pond. The place was surrounded by the rocks from the cliff. They were covered in vines and moss, only leaving a small holes at the top where warm sun poured out onto the small water fall, making everything seem to shimmer and glow. I smiled and breathed in slowly, smelling the fresh sent of lush grass, making me calm. I breathed out and opened my eyes finding my favorite rock next to the pond.
I slowly walked to it, taking in my surroundings. Memories of good, and bad times flowed through my mind. I sat down next to the pond and touched the water, making some fish swim away quickly. I pulled my hand out a shook the water off. Still crystal clear.
I sighed a closed my eyes. I leaned back onto a tree behind me. I crossed my legs and rested my hands behind my head.
After a wile I began to drift to sleep, but suddenly I felt a spike of chaos energy, jerking me awake.
I looked around for the source of energy, i got up and tried feeling where it was. It was strange...
It felt like the energy kept moving around me, circling me. I began to look only with my eyes, I didn't move at all. I looked down at my feet, and saw some blackish, purple mist surond my feet. I quickly backed away, it felt dark and almost as if it were trying to burn me.
What ever it is, it scared the living hell out of me, and I don't get scared easy.I nearly tripped on the rocks I was sitting on, but as I backed away I saw the smoke begin to take a shape. It began to look like some sort of glowing lizard, but then different spikes and claws appeared all over its body, looking more like a demon monster than a lizard.
I stood back, and readied myself in a fighting stance. The thing hissed and bared its fangs at me. I clawed at my torso, but I easily jumped onto one of the rocks.
It growled but looked up seeming that all light was gone from the holes trough the leaves above. It was almost pitch black, and I started to panic the only thing I could see was the faint glow emanating from the creature, but that soon disappeared too.
I backed up into a corner, bumping against what I could tell was a tree. I tried looking around and my eyes finally focused back on the creature, and he was closer. I looked more at its features seeing if there was an obvious week spot. I found nothing, and threw a kick straight at the face.
It dodged the attack easily and wiped around, clawing into my chest , digging deep into my flesh. I froze instantly and struggled to get away.
I could feel it almost melting into me, mixing with my veins as my breathing became quick. I could hear my own heart pounding in my ears. My whole boby racked with pins and needles, but more of a painful sensation. I grabbed my chest as an attempt to stop the pain, but it felt like no matter what I did, it only got worse. My bones felt like they were being crushed one by one, causing me to scream and fall to my knees, and my hands fell down as a support. I dug my fingers into the ground, causing the tips of my gloves to get covered in mud.
I opened my eyes wide and everything seemed brighter, almost glowing. I shakily looked up and saw the moon, and for a second my mind was calm.
It seemed so gentle. Big, and breathtaking. Glowing as if it was made to keep me safe. Then, the pain came back, even worse. I could hardly think straight.
Suddenly, I heard a loud crack, and screamed in agony. I felt the dark monster seeping into all parts of me. My insides began to burn, and I felt all of my bones shater and start to move. My eyes were shut tight, and I never dared to open them.
I could feel my quills grown in length, as if someone was pulling on them, making them feel more like fur.
My spine cracked multiple times, stretching out. I clamped my teeth together tightly as I began to growl in pain.
Hesitantly, I slowly turned around cracking my eye lids open a bit. I let out a loud whimper and covered my mouth in shock, still shaking in pain and fear. My tail had grow out, sweeping the ground as it tucked slightly between my legs.
I let out another scream and stumbled forward, digging my hands in a tree for support.
My voice slowly converted to a mix of growls and whimpers as my chest pushed out slightly, my vocal cords changing along with it. My now sensitive ears heard my gloves tearing, ripping to pieces as sharp claw grew on my hands, wich also became much larger than normal.
I closed my eyes tight, but cracked them open a little and looked down. My fire proof sneakers busted into shreds when sharp claws grew on on my paws.
I let out another scream as my heels streached out, becoming similar to a wolfs hind legs. I stumbled back a little, letting go of the tree that now had long, deep claw marks in it. I shook still, and my body forced me to fall onto my hands, putting me on all fours.
I low growl came from my chest, causing me to pin my sensitive ears back. Then my jaw cracked, making me literally roar out in pain. My short dull fangs lengthend, turning into razor sharp fangs. My jaw cracked again, making more room for the rest of my sharp teeth.
I dug my hands into the ground, thinking it was over as the pain began to stop. But it felt like something was caught in my throat, and I started to bring my head back.
I let out a long, chilling howl, and the rest of the pain subsidied. Slumping down to the ground, I panted, trying to catch my breath.
I shakily got up, my vision practically crystal clear in the dark night. Shaking from adrenaline, my legs wobbled a little, but I soon caught my balance. I tried to stand up on two, with help from the tree, and I looked into the small pound at my reflection.
Seeing myself, I let out a whimper. Quickly covering my muzzle with a large clawed hand, questions raced through my mind. What the hell was going on? My body suddenly became tired and my eyes drooped.
Without thinking, I layed down in the soft grass, closing my eyes and crying softly into my furry arms. The different questions still raced through my mind as I drifted off, but there was one question I couldn't get off my mind. What would my friends say?...
