You were just waking up, a loud, tired yawn escaping your lips. You sat up sleepily, then slap yourself to wake yourself up.
"(Y/n)! Breakfast!" Your grandma called from downstairs.
You were still taking your parents' deaths really hard. Of course, so was your grandmother. She lost a son, but she's thankful to still have you in her life.
You take a ten minute shower and quickly get into a (f/c) bra and underwear, covering them up with a black tank top, a black shirt with a lacy white skull in the middle, black ripped jeans and black combat boots.
You look in the mirror as you brush your (h/c) hair, deciding today you'd just straighten it.
After you were done with that, you grabbed your black leather book bag and black leather gloves, putting the gloves on as you swing the bag over your shoulder.
You run downstairs, eating the food your grandmother made, downing the coffee as well.
You decided today you wouldn't be late, so you needed to leave fast.
"Bye, grandma!" You yelled before slamming the door, walking to school while listening to music on your phone.
Once you made it to the school, first thing you did was put on a nice fake smile so no one could see your pain. But who would care anyways? All of your friends were back in Richmond.
You sighed as you walked to the office, grabbing your schedule and then heading to first period.
Alaric Salzman? Sounds like a weird name. But who am I to judge?
You walked down the halls until you found his room, choosing to sit in the far back corner. No one would notice you as you drew little sketches in your notebook.
And then someone decided to sit right next to you.
"Hey, I'm Elena. You must be new here." She smiled.
You ignored her, hoping she'd get the hint.
"I, uh, like your drawing. Very... different." She stated, nodding her head at your drawing of a wolf.
"Thanks." You gritted out.
"So you speak! What's your name?" She asked.
"Business. Nunya Business, nice to meet you." You stated sarcastically.
"Hey, I'm just being nice." Elena sighed.
You rolled your eyes as the teacher came in, starting class immediately.
As you listened to Mr. Salzman drone on about history, you heard Elena try to get your attention.
You got tired of it, so you raised your hand to get your teacher's attention.
"Yes, Miss...?" He trailed off, not knowing your name.
"(y/l/n). (Y/n) (y/l/n). I'm being bothered back here, can I leave?" You asked.
"Well, Ms. (Y/l/n), Elena is just trying to know you, aren't you, Elena?" He asked her.
"Yep. And now I know your name, (y/n). This is gonna be a great year!" She smiled.
"Yeah, if you count losing everyone you love as a great year." You muttered to yourself.
You stayed quiet the rest of the lesson, letting your eyes wander at times to this insanely beautiful face that could have only been sculpted by a god.
He'd occasionally look in your direction, but you assumed he was just looking at Elena, but then you noticed when his eyes went to Elena, he looked... hurt?
The bell rang and Elena went off with some girl. You were pretty sure her name was Bonnie. Someone said it in lesson.
The handsome male walked over to you, a graceful smile on his lips.
"You must be new. I'm Stefan Salvatore." He stated, holding his hand out for you to shake.
You shake his hand gently.
"(Y/n) (y/l/n). But you probably heard that." You smiled.
You began having a conversation as he decided to show you to your next class, which just happened to be his as well.
You sat beside each other, you having no choice as he just decided to sit beside you instead of asking. Rude.
In the middle of this lesson, a folded up piece of paper somehow made its way onto your desk.
Next class?
You sighed and wrote down (your favorite class) and gave it to Stefan.
He read it and nodded, mouthing that he'll show you where it is.
The lesson ended sometime later, and Stefan showed you to class. After class ended, he met back with you at your class, smiling.
"Would you like to sit with me at lunch today?" He asked.
Okay! So during this story, I'll try to make it to where in each chapter you make your own choice. So here's one of those moments.
Option A: You go with him.
Option B: You refuse the offer.
A:
You slowly nodded, partially enjoying the company of Stefan Salvatore.
You both get your lunches, which you only poke and prod at as it is school goop, and talk as you sit at a table. You were both asking each other typical get to know you questions when you saw Elena.
Ugh.
Elena gets over to you and smiles after sending Stefan a cold glare.
"Hey, how about you join me and Bonnie and a few friends?" She asked you.
"No thanks." You smiled a little politely.
"Come on, they want to meet you." She pleaded.
"No. I'm fine where I am. So don't bother me, k honey?" You smirked a bit.
Your confidence and sarcasm got worse since you moved in with your grandma. Of course, the first day of school you'd try to make an enemy.
"Come on, (y/n)." She sighed.
"I believe, Elena, that she said no. So go back to Caroline and Bonnie, okay?" Stefan jumped in, looking right into her eyes.
She made a small 'hmph' noise before turning and walking to her friends.
"Thanks, Stefan." You smiled.
B:
"No thanks, I'd rather be alone." You frowned.
He frowned as well, obviously wanting to sit with his new 'friend'. Are you even a friend of his yet?
You walk to the cafeteria and decide not to get anything. The food looked like blobs of what used to be food.
You go sit outside and eat quietly, hoping no one noticed you.
"Hey!" A happy voice greeted.
You rolled your eyes as you realised it's Elena.
"Noticed you here by yourself. My friends want to meet you." She smiled.
"Thanks but I'm fine." You smiled, obviously it was fake.
She pouted and kept pestering you, wanting you to sit with her friends.
"Elena, give up. She said no, so you stop pestering her." A voice growled behind you.
You looked and saw Stefan, who was clenching his fists tightly.
"No. We're friends." Elena stated.
"As if. I don't have friends. Now both of you leave." You sighed.
Neither one moved so you scoffed, plugging in your headphones as you walked in the school, going to the music room, where no one but the teacher can bother you.
