"I don't know why you ignore it so much. Despair is such a wonderful thing Naegi! So amazingly chaotic. You should give up your hope already and play the game with me. We could take over the world! Destroy every fragment of hope! Why wouldn't you want that baby?" He cackled.
She couldn't look at him. The boy she had once cared for so much was a persona. An illusion. The boy she loved was long gone. Shifted by despair. His addiction."I won't rule with you. I won't let you destroy the hope we have! No matter how much I loved you!" She said with determination, even as tears brimmed her red-rimmed eyes.
"Oh darling...You don't have much a choice. You either rule with me! Or die in my game. Oh, the despair it would cause me to see you die! But I'll give you a choice. Live forever with me or die in this school." Junko snapped with a dark look.
"I'd...Rather die with my friends then continue to spend my life with you!" She could feel the tears falling. She hated that she was crying. Junko had ruined her life. Killed her parents, the students, the entire outside world was in ruins! Yet...Her heart still hurt to leave him. He used to be her everything. He was her first love, first kiss, first everything! Yet she couldn't stay with him. He was insane with despair. And she knew she couldn't stop him. But she would bloody try.
"Ah, that's too bad. But just know. If you survive my game...You'll be my beautiful despair puppet forever." He grinned devilishly before her vision went black.
:/:NxJ:/:
"Junko!" He was crushed. Blood splattered the machine. Why had he let her remember. Remember the days where they would talk for hours about nothing. Share goodbye kisses when they got to their rooms. The group photos with his twin sister and her own friends. The proposal she had received when the outside world began to crumble.
"When we get out of here, you'll be my wife." He hadn't said anything about it afterwards, but everything went down hill from there.
She had been stuck in a school, watching her friends die and be executed one by one, until finally...Her beloved was crushed. Her heart hurt so much, it was as if her being was incased in ice.
"Naegi?" Asahina placed a tanned hand on her shoulder, patting it softly. "Are you okay?" She asked. It was almost humorous. Her best friend had committed suicide and she was asking if she was okay! As if the sadness from Sakura's death was nothing compared to his despair over Junko's death...
Despair...Was this what he meant? The chaotic feeling of your heart shredding to bits? Any motivation you had to vanish? Feeling like the sun would never appear again...This feeling was addicting. This despair was consuming. It was...dreadful. Yet she still wanted the darkness to consume her heart. She didn't see any hope after Junko's death. He was gone. What hope was there for him to come back?
"Okay..? I'm feeling awful. Dreadful. Horrible. You guess you could say...I'm in despair." She chuckled. "I'm falling apart at the seams. There is nothing left of me! My beloved is gone, so where is there to go? Out a window would be preferred!" She could feel a morbid laugh bubble up her throat as an idea came to her head, making her step closer to Monokuma.
"Or maybe...I should live. If only to continue the despair she rained upon others! I'll let the world see its hopeful students of Hopes Peak Academy die!" She cackled as she hit the big red button. After their vote for Sakura and Junko, they hadn't had another. Which would mean they've run out of time according to the button.
He watched as the clamp snapped around the five students necks, the chains pulling them hard enough to choke. Togami and Hagakure were already trying to pull it off frantically while the girls mostly just tried not to choke.
"Why are you going this Naegi!? Why all of a sudden?!" Togami shouted at her, making her look down at him with a glare.
"Once you feel the despair I feel, I'll explain it to you." She said in a dangerously low voice. "But then again, you'll be dead before you can utter a word." She brighter with a sweet smile that looked oh-so innocent.
With that, they disappeared away from the room.
