Riding With Fire

Chapter 2.

Sunny

After a few days at the base I had gotten to know the bots a little better and most of them even liked Rouge when he wasn't shifted.

"Ok so my dad and Lennox paired me with you for now since you seem to be the most flame retardant and you can teach me self-defence?" I asked as I looked at Ironhide.

"Yeah kid. Way to state the obvious." Ironhide said making me frown.

"You don't have to be rude about it. I have to repeat thing some times." I said as he activated what was called a holoform.

"Look. I don't like humans and I don't like that I have to work with one other than Lennox." He said making me cross my arms.

"Ok pug. I'm not a normal human and I'm not going to take you being being dick for no reason." I said making him growl and grab my wrist to twist it behind my back.

"Oh? And what are you going to do about it? It's daylight human and if I'm right you can't shift during the day unless around true evil." He said and I began to let my fire heat my skin up making him push me away as he let go.

"What in the all spark? I thought you couldn't shift." He said as I turned to face him as Lennox walked in.

"You were an ass to her weren't you?" He asked making his friend huff.

"Yeah but she hasn't answered my question." He said as Lennox sat in one of the chairs in the room.

"I can use my fire to a good extent when not shifted." I said as j crossed my arms.

"Look you can't just go through this training session treating her like the twins. Those two a idiots that don't listen. Sunny on the other hand does listen and she isn't afraid to make mistakes." Lennox said making Ironhide's expression soften a bit.

"Fine. But I'm not responsible for any broken bones." Be said making me shrug.

"They will heal by tonight anyways." I said as I uncrossed my arms and got ready to train.

By the end of the training session he and I were both laying on the ground while ratchet patched us up.

"S-so your holoforms n-need medical attention to?" I asked as I caught my breath.

"Naturally. They have a little bit of actual human DNA in them and when active they are our only conscious form until deactivated. Basically we create an avatar out of hard light and our life force. I don't care to explain anything else about it though so don't ask." He said making me look at him.

"Are all of you bots so....unresponsive?" I asked making him push down on one of the injuries he was binding.

"I don't like humans and I've made that clear from day one of being on this primus forsaken planet." He said then moved away quickly as Rouge snarled and came over. With a short grunt I got up and put my hand on Rouge.

"Don't worry about it Rouge. He isn't worth the time to even show your teeth at." I said as I went to Lennox.

"If they continue to be like this I won't be responsible for anyone Rouge hurts." I said making him stand up.

"Well.....we want you and him on tonight's mission. The world knows about you and your dad so we won't have to worry about your exposure to the world if this con gets out." He said making me sigh and drop my hands to my side.

"Fine but you and the bots are in charge of anything Rouge and I end up melting." I replied making him nod.

"We can handle that with ease. Especially if the bots use their holoforms." He said earning huff from the two bots in the room. 

"We have to clean up their mess?" Ironhide asked as Optimus walked in more than likely wondering why his two team members hadn't left rhe training room yet.

"We are asking for her help in a a form that she still doesn't have complete control over so yes. It will be our job to clean up any mess she and her companion may make." He said making them both look down a little.

"Anyways we have about four hours until dark so let's get going to where ever this mission is." I said as the bots deactivated their holoforms.

Quickly everyone began to get ready for the mission as my dad came to bring me a few things i would need. That included my weapons and Rouge's armor.

"Look you're fussing too much over a simple mission dad. Plus once they see me in action I may get them to be a bit nicer to me. Some of them don't really care for me or really anyone but their own kind." J said making him look at Ironhide.

"Yeah I know that feeling. They never got to see me fight except when j went nuts and completely possessed a machine to hurt some people. Yeah they were bad people but the bots fight to keep them safe so they had to actually fight me that day." He said making me sigh and pet Rouge who trotted off after a bit.

"Well hopefully I won't have to deal with that sort of thing. Though I do wish that you would be there in case I do lose control. I mean what if I do and I hurt one of the bots?" I asked and he pulled me into a hug.

"If you need me Lennox will call and you know it won't take me long to get to you." He said making me relax and hug him back.

"Hey fire girl. Let's go." Ironhide said making dad let me go. Calmly I walked to the bots and followed them to the plane we would be in. As I walked Rouge ran past me with Bee and Dino chasing him enjoying themselves.

"I really don't like the idea of being in a closed area that's going to be in the sky." I said quietly making Ratchet look down at me before he transformed along with the rest of the bots. This would be a long ride for all of us.
