Chapter 14

HAYES POV

Nash is still in the hospital. Cam finally came out. I just hope Nash ends up like Cameron and not like Aaron.

I miss Aaron so much. His jokes, his laugh, just his happiness that he brought to the group.

Magcon has been postponed until we decide to continue it or just cancel it. Canceling sounds really good right now.

Aly has been at the hospital with me everyday. Everyone else went home. They are transferring Nash back to North Carolina. So that way my family can be at home and Nash won't be to far away.

"Hayes?" Aly whispers from the chair in the corner of Nash's room.

"Hmm?"

"What if, what if Nash doesn't make it?"

"He will. I know he will"

"Hayes, we didn't think Aaron would.." I start to feel a lump in my throat. My eyes start to water.

"We didn't think Aaron would leave us so soon." Silence takes over the room. Then Aly walks over and puts her hand on my thigh and stares at me with her bright green eyes.

"We can't think the worse. Just hope for the best, right?" I whisper

"Right." then she puts her forehead on mine and then goes to kiss me. oh how much I missed just being us.

--NEXT DAY--

I hear a knock on the hospital door.

"C'mon in!" I yell standing up from the little couch in the hospital room.

"Hey baby, the doctors have some news!" Aly says walking over to me and grabbing my hand. then the doctor walks in with Cameron and my parents right behind him.

"Nash has been improving very quickly, he should be awake and all healthy in a couple days." he then walks out. It stays quiet for a couple of minutes till Cameron speaks up.

"It's gonna be great having my best Friend back" everyone just nods there heads in agreement.

"And having my son back" mom says.

"And my brother." I say. I wrap my arm around Aly and we all just stare at Nash like he's about to wake up any moment.
