"Sweetie, I don't understand why your not happy about your first day of school! When I was younger--"

"Mom, no more stories about when you were younger, please." My big sister Serenity said while walking down the stairs fully clothed in her uniform that matched mine. "Plus mom, not everyone is as happy and perky as we are. Stop living in 1006."

"Right. Sorry."

"Constance, try to lighten up a bit. Your always grumpy." She had stated with as smile on her face. God, I hate when she smiles as she scolds me.

"I'm not grumpy. I just don't really like people"

Everyone gasped

"How can you not like people?!?" My father ran into the room

"No, I didn't mean it like that. I just--"

"She just doesn't always like company...right?" Serenity looked at me in a very hurried look

"I hope your right, your the only one that can speak Constance" Rude

Annoyed, I got up from my seat and got my stuff ready to get out of this place.

"This is the reason why I like being alone."

"Can you give me a ride?" Serenity piped up

"You have legs don't you?" Gasp "Why don't you stop slacking off with your cheer buddies to study for the drivers test?"

As I put my feet through the door I heard more gasps.

Some people in Omelas are so dramatic.

I open the door to my orange car witch my sister once stated looks like a pumpkin. After she said that I absolutely had to have it because it reminds me of the orange car from 'Cinder' .

If you couldn't tell already I'm the geekiest and anti-social person on the face of this earth and I couldn't be more proud.

I didn't take long for me to realize that I was in front of Delancey's house. I had driven to it so may times i just got used to it I guess.

I honked.

Loud.

I heard Delancey's distinct ear piercing scream as snickered to myself.

I saw Delancey's blonde figure come out of the fire hydrant red door. The closer she got the more I realized her face resembled a lot to the doors.

She entered the car and slammed the door then glared daggers at me as I burst out laughing.
