Hello all! Welcome to a new story that I'm very excited to be writing! It revolves around elemental Clans with unrealistic cats, and I wanted to do this because I've never seen another fanfiction like it. So, I'm putting information about the groups below to better help you understand. Thank you for reading!!
// If you'd like to create a cat, WaterClan and FireClan warriors are still open. Just go find the form near the end of my second update book called "Painted Updates". Thank you again! //
HOW THE CLANS WORK—
When leaders receive their nine lives from the Startree, a five-pointed star is embedded in their chest, and a new mark–one that resembles their element and Clan–is splattered over their chest.
Every cat receives a mark when they become a warrior or medic at the Startree. Their mark represents something about them, an aspect of their personality that will stay on them forever. Their mark begins to glow when they use their powers. Their marks can be any color, but usually blends in with their fur or are the same color as their eyes. However, this isn't always the case.
A cat's powers are revealed through training during their apprenticeship. "The Revealance," as the Clans call it, can range through any time during 6-12 moons. Their ability correlates with their element, but their power does not have to be related to what their mark looks like. Powers being revealed during 6-7 moons and 11-12 moons is very rare, and doesn't often happen.
The cats worship ancestors they call, "LightClan." They act just as StarClan would in the books, and are contacted through the Startree, which is located in the middle of all three Clans. "DarkClan" is the equivalent of the Dark Forest, and cannot be contacted through the Startree, only through dreams.
The cats are granted any pelt color and eye color through genetics or through their ancestors. They are by far the most bizarre group of cats, judging by their odd colors, territories, and powers.
Most kits do not know their family trees, only knowing who their parents are–if even. Most she-cats or toms like to breed to have pretty or handsome kits, and don't talk to them after they're born. Sometimes parents die during battle, which isn't uncommon, so the kits never know their mothers or fathers and are orphaned.
CAMPS—
EarthClan - their camp is a large hollow with a huge tree in the middle that slopes up, stretching into what looks like talons surrounding the woven dens, vines and twigs clumped together to make caves that point out of the tree. The leader's den is on the other side of the tree, embedded in the rock hollow with a rocky slope in front of it. This is called the Highden.
Their territory consists of mostly forest, clearings dotted here and there with a river on the far side of the territory.
ELEMENT: Plants, animals, anything correlating with nature.
FireClan - their camp is dark and rocky underpaw, stones toppled up to create looming walls that protect these cats from danger. The dens are embedded into the rock, clay-like in appearance. The leader's den sits high upon a slope that rises in the camp, calling their meetings from what they call the Rockpile - a large cluster of rocks with a flat top the leader sits upon.
Their territory is also rocky, few trees upon the land because of their elemental abilities. A river connects to EarthClan and runs through the side of the territory.
ELEMENT: Flames, ashes, anything that has to do with fire.
WaterClan - their camp is a large slope surrounded by trees and tendril, the dens located higher up and able to hold many cats. The leader's den is even higher, and a swirling stream of water allows the leader to pad in the circular inside and call Clan meetings; they call this the Highstream.
Their territory consists of a few trees and meadow land, a huge river running through that flows into EarthClan's, traveling through every territory.
ELEMENT: Waves, rain, anything that has to do with water.
