For The Love Of Money

CHAPTER 14

Its been a year since talked to my parents. I just can't seem to forgive them for all the lies and betrayal.

Krystal and I aren't friends anymore either. I knew that backstabbing hoe was jealous of me, but I never thought she would stoop so low.

Mercedes and I are close again. I mean I couldnt be mad at her for not telling me about Tony. She was only trying to protect me. She told me that she was close to telling me many times but chose not to to spare my feelings. But I must say its great to finally have a real sister.

Rashaad and I got back together soon after I told him to leave my house. He made Krystal come over and they explained everything to me. How he had a bad day and Desiree made it worst. And how all he wanted to do was just forget about her. So he went to a bar and got drunk. Long story short, Krystal took advantage of him and they only had sex for like 10 secs. His divorce got finalized and he's been with me since. Desiree ended up signing over her rights for Kaliah to him and now we have us a little family. Oh and did I mention I'm pregnant. Yep I'm 2 months.

Now that Tony's gone I don't have sex for money anymore. I still love my name brand clothes and my over the top jewelry but Rashaad owns his lawn care service plus the smoke shop in the mall. My man makes a way for us. He pays the rent and all the bills. I understand that I have to cut out all the shopping I do because we still have to take care of Kaliah and the new baby. But I'm learning to adjust.

Rashaad, Kaliah and I are at the doctors office waiting to see my ultrasound.

"London?" a nurse called out into the waiting room

We all stood up and followed her towards the ultrasound room. When I walked in I got on the bed and laid down. The nurse took my temperature and all that other stuff they do then went to get the Dr.

"Well hello everyone. Are we excited to see the baby today? I'm also gonna let you hear the baby's heartbeat today." the Dr. said while washing her hands and preparing for the ultrasound.

"Wow really? Oh my god I'm excited" I said smiling

The Dr. walked over to me and lifted up my shirt. She had a tube of blue gel and applied it to my stomach. It felt cold at first. Then she took some kind of wand thing and placed it on my stomach moving it around in circles.

"You see this right here?" she said pointing at something on a tiny screen. "That's your baby. And you hear that noise?" She said pushing some type of button. "That's your little angel's heart beat".

I instantly fell inlove. I'm not an emotional person but I felt a tear fall from my eye. At that moment I felt a love that I never felt before. I knew right then and there that in life if I didn't have anyone ill always have my baby.

After we left Rashaad took Kaliah over to her moms house to spend the night. He said he wanted some alone time with me. We agreed to go on a little date tonight. But of course I needed to go shopping for an outfit 1st.

I called up my sister and told her to meet me at the mall. Before I left Rashaad told me to make sure I get a dress. Then he threw me some extra money to get Mercedes something.

Mercedes and I was walking around in forever 21. I found a cute little black strapless dress that would go perfect with my black Michael Kors pumps I had ordered last week. Mercedes didn't find anything she liked. I don't she felt too good today anyway. So we left and I went home to get ready for my date.

I had already showered earlier today but after shopping and everything I wanted to take another one. I laid out my dress, heels and underwear on the bed and hopped in the shower. I cleaned my body and was out within 20 minutes.
