A few days later, the apartment had been unpacked and their new furniture had arrived. Y/N was unpacking the pieces of her new desk from the box that had just arrived. She thought she would be able to assemble it on her own, but it was beginning to seem like more of a challenge. She finally caved in and was going to ask her roommate for help when Gemma walked in her room.

"Hey, don't forget I'm going out tonight with Chris...do you need help with that?" Gemma was all dressed up with a black dress on and heels. Her hair lay down on her back naturally and she looked stunning. Gemma and Chris had been dating for a few months and Y/N had vaguely remembered Gemma saying it was some sort of anniversary they were celebrating.

"Yea, but I can always wait until tomorrow."

"Nonsense! I'll text Harry to come over and help, I'm sure he's not doing anything."

"No!" Y/N responded way too quickly, "really, that's okay. I can wait."

But Gemma was already typing on her phone.

"Seriously, tell him he doesn't have to come over." Y/N was starting to feel a little irritated. She thought Harry seemed like a cool guy but after his comment to her the other night she wasn't so sure. Gemma knew she was bisexual and she really didn't make a big deal out of it. So why was her brother being so weird about it? If he wasn't comfortable with whom she was, then he wasn't someone she wanted to hang around with.

"Too late. He already responded, he'll be here in thirty. Besides, I think he likes hanging out with you. He keeps asking to come over but I keep telling him we're still unpacking. Always was persistent, that one."

"Okay...are you coming home tonight?"

"Think I'm staying over Chris'. But I'll see you at work tomorrow; want me to pick up anything on the way?"

"Just a coffee, cream and two sugars please."

Y/N and Gemma had started a new routine where every morning on their way to work they would stop and get coffee. Y/N was flattered that Gemma still wanted to continue this tradition even if they weren't going together.

"See you tomorrow, babe." Gemma leaned over to where Y/N was seated on the floor and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. They had only been living together for about a week now, but they were slowly becoming best friends. They shared a lot of the same interests and their personalities seemed to really click.

Exactly 30 minutes later, Y/N heard the buzzer from downstairs ringing. She let Harry up and he was at her door in no time.

"Hey, sorry if I ruined your plans for tonight, I told Gemma we could just wait until tomorrow." Fiona said apologetically as she opened the door for him.

"S'fine, didn't really have plans any way." He smiled gently to her. He was just wearing joggers and a black t shirt, but again, he made them look so comfortable and chic at the same time.

Y/N led Harry to her room where she had placed all the pieces on the floor and on her bed.

"So the instructions are over there," She pointed to her dresser, "but I think I really just need you to hold the pieces together while I screw them in."

A few minutes past and they already had three pieces screwed in together. Their conversation was full of fillers such as, "how was your day?" and Harry telling her about this amazing omelet he made that morning. She was only really giving him one word answers, but at least he was trying.

"So, I just wanted to apologize." Harry said after a few moments of silence had passed.

"'Bout what?" Fiona answered while not even bothering to lift her head; she was definitely concentrating at her task at hand.
