Some people who don't have any friends make up worlds for themselves so they feel less lonely. Well I know three girls named Edith, Alicia and Lilly who had a world but it was real and if you want to know the story you're going to have to listen carefully because I'm not going to tell it twice.One Christmas the girls each received a necklace with two rings dangling from it's silver chain, one with a red ruby and the other with a blue sapphire, from their parents that they wore everywhere and took very good care of them, polishing the gems every night.
Sometime afterwards on a rainy day Lilly was admiring her rings and accidentally pushed the ruby inside the ring. And was surprised to find that instead of sitting on the window seat in the living room looking out on the beach a few miles away, she was sitting on a large rock in the middle of a forest staring at a tree that was growing right in front of her face, or at least, she thought it was a tree...
