Lilly fell forward onto her hands and knees from the force of the travel between the two worlds. For a moment her mind went blank and she wondered why she ever left the warm comfort of Mr Oakley's home but, then she remembered her task, she was about to get up and look for her sisters when Alicia skidded round the corner and to a halt in front of Lilly. "Lilly!" She exclaimed "Thank God! Where the Dickens have you been we've been looking- I say! What are you doing on the floor?". Lilly blinked slowly and stared. Her vision was still a bit blurry from the travel but she could just make out her sister's face.
"J-just g-got back from Half Blood Earth." She replied, breathing heavily. "I'm sorry, Half Blood what?" Alicia asked. "Half...Blood...Earth." She said again slowly. Then, quick as anything, her mind cleared and all the events of recent rushed back into her vision in a frenzy.
"Alic! Where's Edith? get her here quick!" She said in a hurried tone
"Actually I was just about to call her." Alicia replied "Edith?" She shouted "I've found her. She's in the living room."
Lilly heard the familiar and distinct sound of Edith's knee high boots hurriedly coming down the creaky stairs, running around the corner and stopping in front of her before Edith's unmistakable, blistered hands grabbed her shoulders. "Lilly! Where on earth have you been?
We've been worried sick!"
"N-not important!" Lilly replied. "Not important?" Edith retorted "How can it not be important? You've been missing for hours, we've been looking everywhere-" she was about to ramble on about how dangerous and naughty it was for her to run off like that for a good quarter of an hour but Lilly cut her off. "It doesn't matter right now! We need to get back! Quickly!" "We need to get back?" Edith replied "You've just gotten back! Now I'm asking this for the last time. Where have you been?"
"There's no time to explain!" Lilly said frantically "Do both of you have your necklaces on?" Alicia finally spoke; "We do." "Take the ruby ring and push the ruby into it." Lilly said "But why do we need to-" Alicia began "Just trust me."
"Fine," Alicia replied "but if this breaks my ring I'm gonna kill you." "Agreed." Edith chimed in
"Okay, but let's get on with it. On three." Lilly said to them "One," Edith said "Two." Alicia followed "Three"

Sorry this took a while I've been really busy over the past few days (I always am) and also sorry about the short chapter and the cliffhanger but I wanted to leave some suspense and don't worry chapter four should come out very soon (if I can actually get my schedule straight) but anyway I hope that you are enjoying the book so far (but to be honest I don't see why I always put an Author's note as no one is going to read this) and the next chapter is coming soon!
