Adrien POV
Adrien gazed at his open window. In the distance a small red dot was still to be seen. He touched his lips and he blushed, thinking about what had just happened. He then sat up straight, and immediately groaned. His leg hurt like hell. And when he looked at it, he saw why. Slowly blood was soaking his pants, and there already was a huge red stain in his bed. With a lot of effort he pulled his trouserpipe to his knee, and saw a great purple bruise with an cut right through it.

Adrien knew he couldn't hide this from his father. That's why he grabbed his phone and called Nathalie, and told her to come to his room, immediately.
When she arrived, Nathalie saw his wound, and squeaked in surprise. "Adrien, what have you done? Your father will be mad! How did you even manage to do this?" He sighed and looked at his lap. Adrien told her the same lie as he had told Ladybug, except that he added the part about her bringing him home.

Without the kiss of course.

A heavy silence fell. Nathalie wanted to cuddle the boy and tell him all would be fine. Clean his wound and put a bandage around it, give him hot drinking chocolate and put him to sleep. But she was not his mother, and neither his caretaker. She had rules to follow, and at the moment she hated them.

"You know I will have to report this to your father Adrien" she finally said "I'll be right back."

The silence in his room made Adrien really nervous. He had never been this injured before, and he was scared of how his father would react. He didn't have to wait long though. Because sooner than he had imagined, his father barged into the room.

"Adrien Agreste."

Gabriel Agrestes firm tone scared Adrien more than if he had shouted. He shot a glance his father and saw a look of disgust on said face. He felt the adrealine from a few minutes ago still flow through his body, and it wasn't getting less.

"You should have listened to me when I told you the outside world is dangerous." Gabriel said. Adrien felt his face heat up. He hated it when his father did as if everything he did was wrong.

"It was an Akuma father, not the general everything outside this prison of yours!" The last part of his sentence had come out to loud. He saw it on his father's face and realized he had gone to far. Never had he put up such a tone against him, and he knew he would have to pay for it.

"Young man," his father began "I will get a doctor for your leg. But make one more mistake and you are grounded. FOREVER." His face became sad. "I don't want to lose you to."

And with that Gabriel Agreste slammed the door behind him.

Marinette POV (next day)
Marinette had slept through her alarm. Again. Right now she was quickly getting ready for school, with just 20 minutes left before her first class would start.

"Tikki," she complained "I have barely slept. I could not close my eyes without picturing Adrien right before my nose! I must have fallen asleep from pure exhaustion!"

Tikki giggled. "Mari, you should not complain so much. I thought you wanted to kiss Adrien! You have been obsessing over him ever since he gave you his umbrella. It was about time!

The poor girl groaned. "I just wanted him to kiss me, the clumsy, normal side of me, not the one who is a freaking superhero! But I guess you are right, I did wanted to-"

"Marinette? Are you talking to yourself again? You have to leave right now if you want to be at school on time!" Her mother shouted from downstairs.

"Coming!"

After school

Adrien hadn't shown up at school, so it had been a really boring day for Marinette. On top of that, she hadn't been able to properly follow her lessons because of the constant reminder of Adriens absence from the empty seat in front of her. That's why she was really looking forward to seeing Cat Noir again on patrol. But when Ladybug arrived at their usual spot, Chat wasn't there yet. She found it strange, because he was always early.

She sat down and waited. After like quart of an hour she gave up, and decided to do patrol alone. But when she had just stood up straight, her yoyo rang.

On the other side of the screen she saw Cat Noir, with his back leaning against a white wall. "I'm really sorry My Lady" he said apologetic "but I can't come to patrol today. Or uh- this week actually. I'm still pretty wounded from the Akuma yesterday, and I don't have the energy to even get out of my room... This kitten may have nine lives, but I'm not immune to pain." He grinned. "I'm sorry."

"Don't worry Chaton, I can save the day without you for a week. All though, I must confess, I will probably miss your stupid jokes." She smiled. "Get well Cat Noir!"

"You like my puns!? If I had known that sooner I would have made more!" Cat said triumphant, pumping his left hand in the air. "And don't worry too much, I'll be alright. Bye Bugaboo!"

She rolled her eyes. "Bye Chaton." And they hung up.

Now Ladybug was alone on the roof again, in the dark Paris, extremely aware of the silence around her.

Patrol wasn't hard, there were no bandits, Akumas or even fighting drunk people. The streets of Paris were peaceful and Ladybug was full of energy. She wanted to do something reckless. So when she flew past Adriens house, and saw the lights in his bedroom were still on, she didn't hesitate to make a visit.

Ladybug yoyo-ed to his window and hung right behind it. She knocked against the glass and looked inside, only to see a bare chested Adrien turning around on his bed in surprise. For a moment they stared at each other, blushing furiously, then she put a hand before her eyes.

Why exactly had she thought it was a good idea to come here again?
