Clawdeen

"Eva. Eva! Eva!!" I screamed, she was shaking, sweat drenched on her face. She jolted awake, her eyes shaking, they were bloodshot and fearful.

"Eva whatever is happening, it WILL pass." She shook her head slowly, her eyes still wide and bloodshot.

She shook her head. "N-No, it-it'll never s-stop. They died, they all died!" Her skin was as white as snow and as cold as ice.

I froze in place, she couldn't have known. Even though she killed those kids, there were only survivors because I stepped in. My fur already grew in which I was thankful for, I didn't want Eva knowing she did damage to me as well. She sat up, she was no longer shaking but it seemed as if she was going to collapse at any second. I helped her stand up, and she leaned against my back as support. We arrived downstairs, Mom quickly placed Eva's shoes on while she was still half conscious. Everyone else was sleeping, no one knew what happened at the school but if they even heard a little gossip, they'd know it was her.

We quickly rushed into the car and drove off, I sat in the trunk, but there was a hole where I can talk to everyone in the car and there was a window above the door opener where I can see where we are and where we are going. 4 hours later, Mom claimed we were half way there, yet she still didn't explain what kind of school Eva and I were going to.

The road suddenly became bumpy, my head started hitting the roof of the trunk, "Ow ow ow ow..."

Mom apologized and drove slower. When we arrived a few hours later, it looked like a college, but there were cabins off in the distance that made the place seem like a summer camp. But it was clear Mom sent us to birding school. She parked and let me out, I stretched my cramped legs, cracking my neck as well in the process.

Eva slid off the seat and walked over to me in a daze, she still blames herself. Sure it was her fault but no one should ever speak less of her, she didn't deserve that and this was the consequence. I rubbed my head against her cheek and purred, showing that I was going to be with her.

As we entered kids of all ages ran around and sparred different kinds of equipment. All these people were creatures or demigods sharing one space without murdering each other. When we entered the director did a fly-by over our heads, then landed with poise. "Hello, I'm the head of this establishment. My name is Eugene Edwards, I'm originally from New England." He had a fascinating British accent that fit well with his name.

Eva pointed at his ruffled wings, "What are you mister?"

He turned to her and crouched on his knees- his wings riding along the ground- he gave her a sweet smile. "I'm a Valkyrie, and who might you be?"

Eva raised her tiny hand, "Hello my name is Evascence, I am a Kitsunewolf."

He reached out and grabbed her hand, making it completely disappear. "Hello Evascence, I hope you have a fun time here and learn a few new things as well." Then he turned to me, "And who might you be?"

"I'm Clawdeen Moon. Eva's wolf, I'll be staying with her while she is attending this. . . school." I stated while looking around at the disorderly conduct, this was more like a daycare for the supernatural.

His eyebrows raised then furrowed immediately, as his eyes wandered up and down me, then finally met my eyes. "You are very sophisticated for your age, especially since your Evascence's wolf, usually you'd have the same intellect but you are clearly different from Miss Evascence." He stared at me longer. "I got to admit, this is the first time I've heard a werewolf having the ability to split bodies with two different conscious'."

I nodded politely. "So I've heard."

Director Edwards moved on and took us on a tour around campus. He explained what was required for the students and what the regulations each of us have to follow. And when he was about to point out the different activities in the boarding school a man with furry legs trotted up. He was panting like he finished a long run; he had shaggy brown hair with a tint of red and had a relaxed and easy smile. His eyes sparkling as his smile reached from ear to ear.  He explained he was a Satyr with not too much confusion. Then he started going on about the different places the camp had to offer, it had multiple places to rent stuff out and to swim. They had classes like archery if you wanted to join no matter what the parenting god they had.

When we were in the middle of our tour something toppled me down, growling I instinctively threw them off. Eric raised his hands in surrender. "Woah, hey... Clawdeen."

Mom was infuriated, she turned to my step-father. "What the hell are you thinking?!"

"The boys couldn't resist following you." He smiled while mom frowned.

"This is for Eva to cope. Not to have everything rush back at her!" She growled ready to spring out her claws.

Her husband sighed, "We're only staying for a day, giving Eva.... our best...interests." He slurred out the last word, not sure if it was the right phrase to win over mom.

She thought for a little bit, "Fine. One day, then we're going."

My brothers cheered. Our tour guide spoke up, "We have a guest area if you wish to stay in our care over the night?"

Mom smiled warmly at him, "That'll be wonderful. Thank you very much."

The Satyr smiled, "That's all I need to show you today, if you can take Evascence's belongings and follow me, we will go right to her cabin." Mother and Father grabbed Eva's bags and blankets, then followed our guide to a cabin closest to the school building. "New members sleep in these quarters, and later out in her stay, she will move around to other cabins that best suits her needs."

We stepped inside and to our surprise, it was pretty big. Evascence ran forward and claimed an open bunk. "Can this be mine?"

The Satyr smiled kindly, "Of course. Now, does your wolf need her own bunk as well?"

I shook my head, "No from this moment I will be combined with Evascence. So, at night I will be fine."

Mr. Satyer nodded, "Alright sounds good." He looked around to the rest of our family. "It was nice seeing you folks, and I hope that you have a nice stay here."

When he left Mother and Father went to Eva's bed and started furnishing it. When it was finished they sat on the mattress and pulled Eva to them, "You cannot sleep Evascence."

Eva's face changed into confusion. "But what if I get sleepy?"

They looked over at me, "Clawdeen. Make sure that she doesn't fall asleep."

I nodded my head, "I understand."

Eva pouted and stomped her feet. "Well, I don't understand!"

Mother placed her hands on Eva's cheeks and touched her forward with her's. "You have to sweetheart, please do as Mommy says."

There was silence for a couple moments until Eva wrapped her fingers around Mother's hands. "Okay Mommy, I won't fall asleep."

Mother smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "That's my good girl. We brought some energy drinks to keep you awake." Showing her the bag of items that they packed for her ahead of time. "Now, get in a swimming suit. We're going swimming!"

Our brother's cheered as ran out the door faster than a torpedo, "Swimming!"

Mother and Father soon followed and shut the cabin door behind them. I looked around the cabin once more than turned to Eva. "Let's get going before the sun goes down."

She smiled and held up the one piece. "Yup, I'm ready!"

I smiled at Eva as she ran into the bathroom. This is going to be good for us. For Evascence. I can feel it.
