Airi's point of view
When i opened my eyes i saw natalie beside me and my mother sleeping in the corner. Natalie woke up my mom and called the nurse. Then she attacked me.
"Don't you ever do that to me again! I thought you were dead."
"Well im alive aren't I?"
"Airi im not kidding you almost died. You've been on life support for 3 days." She whipped her tears and sniffled. "They were going to take you off life support if you didnt wake up in the next two days."
I didn't know what to say. How are you supposed to react when your best friend tells you that you almost died. I gave her a big hug and tired to process what i just heard.
"Im gonna kill Devin for doing this to you."
"What exactly did he do? I remember going to his house but after that its just a blur."
"He fractured your jaw and broke 2 of your ribs and gave you a severe concussion." She cringed as she said that.
"Is he in jail?"
"Sadly no. He has to do community service for 3-6 months."
"Thats it? He almost killed me and he only has to pick up shit off the side of the highway."
The nurse came in and asked Nat and my mom to leave so they could do some tests.
Once the tests were done i finally got some rest. Thats when i had a flash back of when Devin first hit me.

It was halloween, my dad was throwing this lame party and Devin was invited. Its kind of weird how our parents are friends. I invited a few friends it was really just torture for me i didnt wanna be there and everyone knew that.
I was talking with my friends and everything was going fine. Devin was acting strange and I couldnt tell if he was ok his face was covered with a mask. He was some creepy thing i didnt even care to know.
Everything seemed great i was a sexy witch along with my friends. We had been planning this for weeks. We were all talking about our boyfriends. Isabella asked me how me and Devins relationship was going. i said
"Its great but i think he likes Sasha." i giggled and so did Isabella and Becky. i was just kidding but Devin took it seriously. He whispered in my ear coldly.
"come to the back room with me." i got up and said we were getting drinks and we scooted out.
When we got out back he grabbed a hold of my arm and spun me around.
"What the fuck was that about?" he yelled.
"Come one i was kidding learn to take a joke." his eyes turned black and before i could react there was a painful sting on my cheek and i cried out in pain.
I looked back up at him in shock. My eyes were brimmed with tears. I couldnt understand what just happened. i backed away from him and screamed
"What is wrong with you? It was a joke!"
"Shut the fuck up!" he slowly came over and tried to turn my head but i couldnt look at him after what he had just done.
"Airi come on look at me." I stared at the wall still not facing him.
"I said look at me!" he punched me in the eye and i fell backwards.
"Why are you doing this?"
"Liars get punished" and he left the room.

I was so naive, i thought he would never hurt me again. I was so wrong...
