Right so I've been wanting to have a knightly order in my world and I've been slightly inspired when playing Dragon Age Inquisition and choosing the Templars.
The Knights of the Mithril Shield
A group of Dwarf Knights that has been whittled down to just two dozen knights after an orc horde pillaged and burned their home base of Termelaine, a dwarven built castle to the east. They forged their gear from a large mine of Mithril ore underneath the castle
A for the name, the Knights will each have a mithril shield on top of a set of mithril plate armour. Their weapons are dwarf made and are out of mithril. For emergency cases, everyone in the order has a mithril dagger. Their primary weapon will be a battleaxe or a longsword. Their ranged weapon would be a heavy crossbow.
Their order was designed to combat any magical threats, believing it should be maintained and preserved.
After the orcs pillaged and burned their castle, the remnants of the order are scattered across the world and sworn to come together in case a worldwide threat showed itself to the world.
