Sometimes life doesn't work out how most people would picture it. As for me, I always expect the unexpected. I am what most people would call "weird", "different", or even "extraordinary". Though I don't seem like the kind of person to be shy, I usually don't talk to people until I get to know them to the best of my ability. That wasn't the case with Scott. I didn't have to put on an act around Scott, I could be the Mitch I always wanted to be without worrying about hatred or judgement and I loved that. Scott was all around an amazing person.

It was a Sunday afternoon when I met him. His eyes were as blue as the sky above us and I was mesmerized by every aspect of him. He was tall, slightly older than me, and drop dead gorgeous. I couldn't help but to stare, missing the legendary Tony Romo scoring the winning touchdown for the Cowboys; it's not like I cared anyway, I hate football. Scott and his friends were jumping around, cheering on the team as some people started to exit the stadium. That's when I once again did the unexpected. I made my way over to Scott and introduced myself. He smiled that perfect smile and I felt weak at the knees.

As we grew deeper into our conversation, my mind started to wander. I started doubting myself, curiosity grew within me as I began to question whether or not he was even gay, luckily all the doubting was completely unnecessary. He asked me how I felt about going to a local bar with him for a couple drinks and I happily obliged. We took an Uber twenty minutes across town until we stopped at a brewery. Though it was a brewery, it was set up to also accommodate for a family friendly atmosphere. Scott got us a table and we had a nice lunch together before getting walking a few miles down the street to a pub where a beer festival was going on. We left the pub tipsy and looking for adventure.

We walked along the boardwalk and talked about our dreams and aspirations. Scott told me about how he has always wanted to travel the world and visit all seven Wonders. I told him about my dreams to go to Paris and visit the Eiffel Tower at night. We talked about how we want to go to the Grand Ol Opry even though neither of us were huge fans of country music. As we continued to make our way down the boardwalk, Scott slipped his hand into mine and in that moment, I believed in love at first sight. I believed in all the things about love people deemed impossible, but I swear nothing about this day has been impossible.

We walked by a couple shops and stopped in to purchase some souvenirs so we could always remember our drunken adventure around Dallas. We stepped into a popup store for today's game and bought matching Dallas Cowboys hoodies. The boutique had only two of the hoodies left and I swear it was fate, or maybe I was just too love struck to believe it was anything else.

The day started to turn into night and the sunset was absolutely gorgeous. Scott and I headed back to Arlington and headed out to a big field to sit and admire the magnificent view in front of us. The shades of pink, blue, purple, and orange were absolutely fascinating. I was lost in my imagination when I felt a pair of arms pull me into his chest, a smile ever so evident on my face. He told me the sunset wasn't nearly as beautiful as me and all I could do was shake my head bury my bright red face into his chest.

Scott may be considered a complete stranger to me, but I feel as if I have known him my entire life. I feel like our memories didn't start just today, I feel as if he has been by my side forever. It's insane to think about how my life did a one-eighty flip as soon as I looked into his blue eyes. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but after all the events that have been happening recently, I am truly happy by Scott's side. I am feeling feelings I didn't know was possible.

As day finally turns to night, Scott and I part ways and head home. For now I can only hope that I will see him again someday, but I am forever thankful that he was mine for a night.
