Chapter 5 - bruise

AIDEN'S POV

She was gonna walk away and let me be alone, but suddenly something inside me panics so i grabbed her hand before she can go

"Sit" i said

She was hesitant but do as told

We just sat there, silently, staring at each other. Both of our faces are blank

One thing to describe this moment: awkward

I have no idea what i'm supposed to do or say. I don't even know why i grabbed her hand.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about her ever since we bumped at the hallway.

I kindda felt guilty of how cold i acted towards her. But i just can't warm up.

I'll get attached and then she'll leave

That's what everybody does. Stay then leave

She's really a true beauty. She has dirty blonde hair that reaches her waist. It is currently tied up in a ponytail just like this morning. Her skin is flawless. She has long toned legs and curves in the right places of her body.

I was really tempted to touch her.

To kiss her

But i know i have to keep my distance

So i got up and exit the cafeteria before i do something i'll regret.

She must think i'm really weird. Like what the hell dude, ask her to sit and just go out without saying anything

Yep, she would totally think that

But i don't really have time to care, i have too much on my plate already

I went to the back of the school and lit a cigarette. I'm not a smoker but i do smoke in certain situations.

Like now

Here i am, thinking about her again. Her perfect face, body, legs...

God i sound like a girl

Well, the cigarette is not helping. I throw it in the bin just in time as the bell rang.

I could care less if i am late but i just feel like being on time today.

I enter class, no one talked to me, they give me fearful looks. Am i that scary? But thats okay i would rather have everyone afraid of me than everyone trying to talk to me.

Finally, school's over and i head back home

If it can even be called home

Thankfully, my mom's not home. Which means no abusing

Yay

I went straight to my room and lay on my bed.

Guess what happens next?

Lace comes to my mind

No, i'm not some stalker if that's what you're thinking. I just heard parker call her that the day before yesterday.

Thinking of her and parker isn't pleasing at all. I don't know why but i suddenly feel protective and...jealous?

Parker and i used to be close. But it was a really long time ago during sophomore year. He started to talk less, and less, and less, and suddenly we just stopped being friends. It's like we don't even know each other.

I know he has problems, he just won't tell me.

Shaking of my thoughts i decided to go for a walk.

My thoughts started to go back to Lace.

While i was still thinking about lace, i suddenly get punched in the face

What the fuck? Not cool man, not cool

I was furious, he punched me for mo reason. I can tell that he's drunk but still, not a good enough reason.

If you haven't guessed, i have anger problems. I'm usually able to suppress it but not this time.

So i punched him back. It only took 2 punches to make him unconscious, he was very drunk.

Suddenly i feel a sting on my cheek. I touched it and it hurts.

Well damn, he knows how to throw a punch. I can already feel a bruise forming.

Time to go home

But then i remember that i need milk at home, so i decided to go to the grocery store.

Once i'm done, i went to the toilet in the grocery store to inspect my bruise.

One word: damn

It is already beginning to turn into a dark purple color. Ugh now it's really time to go home.

Still holding my bruise, i exit the toilet only to bump into someone.

Can this day get any worst?

I was just about to lash out to the person giving him or her a piece of my mind but when i looked to the gorgeous blue eyes that only belongs to one person i know, my mind goes blank.

All i can think about is lace, lace, and lace

"I'm really sorry i wasn't looking to where i was go- oh my God is that a bruise?" She stated horrified and then touched my face.

It took everything in me not to lean into her touch.

I leaned back and muttered, "its no big deal"

Her eyes widen, "no big deal?! Aiden it's a freaking bruise. Come on i'll take you to my house it's just 5 minutes from here." She said then dragged me to her house

I just stay silent admiring her.

No one has ever cared for me before
