"Oh, look at this. Everyone is around for breakfast now." Claire gleamed, putting down another plate of food on the island.
I gave everyone a small grin walking up to get a plate. Benj was on the other side of the counter, putting some grapefruit on his plate. He saw me and smiled. Amelia was next to his side smiling at me while eating her oatmeal. Looks like she's worried that her dress won't fit her on her special day.
"So nice to have the family around for breakfast. And some new family." Claire giggled looking at Benj and Liam.
"No dirty pots and no mess in the kitchen. Strange. Where's the food from?" I asked, knowing damn well that Claire nor my Dad cooked this food. Let's just say that they are the smartest in the kitchen.
"Mrs. Olson's Coffee Hut." Claire smiled shyly thinking she probably could get it passed me.
"So how did everyone sleep last night? Drinking before bed again sis?" Amelia chuckled.
"Oh, uhmmm no." I said, simply grabbing some breakfast burritos with a slight shake of my head. One question though, when did I ever drink before bed?
"You missed it last night. We were watching some previous family photos Amy. You should've been there." Liam confronted.
"Liam!" I scolded, hissing his name.
"Sheez Charlotte! I completely forgot about it. Dammit! I've been so busy that I've completely forgotten about our most important family tradition. I didn't mean to ditch you. It was unintentional. Sorry." Amelia said, beating herself up for it. My sister hasn't changed after all.
"It's ok sis. I forgive you." I hugged her with one arm and the other, holding my breakfast plate.
"I'm gonna make it up to you. We can scan them all again tonight. I'll even bring you some food from Jax's." She declared, releasing me from the hug.
"It's alright, Amelia. You're busy. Besides, I don't think I'm up for another round again tonight. But you can still bring me anything from Jax's." I chuckled lightly.
"Deal." She laughed, pointing her fork at me at the other side of the island.
I smiled, grabbing some more food to put on my plate. I looked over to Liam as he put some grapefruit on my plate for me.
"Thanks." I smiled, looking up at his semi-sleepy face.
He nodded his head at me with a small grin. I turned around and walked over to the dining table where everyone was already seated. My dad was seated at the head of the table with his newspaper and tomato shake in hand and some paprika-flavored home fries on a white plate in front of him with egg.
"Morning dad." I greeted, taking a seat next to Benj.
"Morning honey. How was your sleep?" He asked, looking over his newspaper briefly before looking back down.
"Fine. Thank you. Anything good in the paper?" I replied.
"Ahhh, just the same old boring stuff. I'm getting to the funny pages soon." He muffled turning the page.
"Charlotte, I thought you said you don't sleep talk anymore." Claire brought up as she ate some of her oatmeal.
Apparently, I had this habit of sleep talking. I never believed my family when they first told me but when they started to know things about my life that I hadn't told them about, I had to think that MAYBE I really do sleep talk. I thought it went once I get to college because Olivia never brought it up.
"I don't." I confirmed to her.
"You do." My parents said in harmony.
"You know? I only seem to be sleep talking when I'm in this house." I arched a brow at them.
