The Dratave region. A special little place that used to be unknown to the rest of the world for one reason- it wasn't created until recently. A series of hidden underwater volcanoes erupted almost in unison, creating a giant landmass that rivaled the size of Unova. After finding this huge land, of course people started to investigate, and found a lot of potential for living life. Five years later, and people have stated the the region is in a stable and in a habitable condition.
My father, a huge geologist, of course decided to move there after hearing so. The only reason he wasn't already there before that was me. He didn't want to strip away my life and friends and everything I had built to throw me in a near inhabitable, solitary land with no one else my age there. Those thoughts just disappeared, and here I am now. On the bright side, there were actual kids my age here. Just.. kinda few and far in between.
Different scientists were positioned in different places of Dratave. I was positioned in the northern part of it, a cold and snowy place. A lot of little ice types like to hang around the small town, like Snorunt or Spheal. The only other teen here was a guy named Micheal. He was cool and all, but I wish there were more people around. Most of the time I'm hanging around in a jacket outside just walking around, spotting the occasional Stantler grazing in the distance, and some Noctowls nurturing their Hootoots in the snow covered trees.
As much as I hated the solitude, the scientists did good to this place. In just five short years, they've managed to plant forests, build towns, migrate Pokémon here, and build a semi-thriving community of nature and people. And the place looked pretty cool too, like something straight out of a video game. The only thing I don't like about those qualities is how they make me want to see more, when I can't. At least not without an adult basically holding my hand the entire way. I can't take three steps outside of the town without them getting on my ass about it, so normally I wait until night to go on walks. Just a bit more freedom is nice to have.
"There you are" I'm pretty sure I came to the brink of pissing myself when I heard that voice. "Damnit Tyler, You scared me half to death!" I don't shouted at my dad's coworker. "It's your fault for wandering out this late. You made your father worry. Anyways, you shouldn't be out here without one of us-"
"One of you what? Holding my hand and stopping to comment about every rock and tree we pass?" I huff, "let's just go back." I start walking back towards the town, knowing I'll probably be on watch tomorrow.
---------------------•------------------------
I wasn't wrong. After a boy so restful sleep, I was told I would be watched for a while because I had snuck out. I know my father is worried, but this is ridiculous. I just stayed inside all day while the guy did some work or whatever he does. I felt like a five year old in time out. "So... what have you been doing up until now?" I asked the man. I was bored, and genuinely curious at this point. "Pokémon research. Comparing data about Pokémon from other regions to the ones that were migrated here. That kind of stuff.""And what did you find out? I know that sometimes Pokémon can change forms, like the Alolan ones did."
"Something similar, but no quite the same. While the Alolan Pokémon simply adapted by changing some aspects about them, such as their appearance or typing, for a peculiar reason, the Pokémon we bring here either don't change, or if they do they look nothing like the original thing. Take a Dragonite we brought here, for example. Somehow, one of them got up here, in the chilly parts. It was an obvious disadvantage, being a dragon and flying type. But then, something just barely short of a biological miracle happened. We had thought we discovered a new Pokémon, but it was a Dragonite as a DNA test showed us. The Dragonite had lost its large belly in exchange for a slimmer one, its once yellow-orange skin now white and blue. It's once small wings now large, and more wide. It's Tail was no longer there, and it's arms and legs now bulky instead of fat. The antennae on its head were the only things that remained normal, save the color change of course." He finished explaining. My interest was officially piqued.
"That's... amazing!" I sat up and looked the worker dead in the eye. "Tell me more, please!" I asked him. The worker simply smirked, and nodded.

So, that's the beginning! See, I love love love nuzlockes, and really wanted to write a story about one, but I've also really wanted to make an original region. That would obviously be a foolish idea, as it would require me to make a bunch of Pokémon, all of which taking like two hundred words for me to explain. Or, I could just not include any new Pokémon at all. But then that would leave people asking why there weren't any at all, and I remained stumped. Then, it hit me. A region thats barely been created can't have any new Pokémon. It would still suck if there weren't any though, so I took a page out of Sun and Moons book and just made a different form for certain Pokémon in certain areas, with just a bit more added on. Anyways, this story should be updated at the very least, monthly. If it's not, feel feee to throw virtual bricks at me, k? Anyways, the reason this one is so long is because I won't write to many author's notes. I hope you guys will enjoy this story! Also a shoutout to ChronaLilly for giving me some writing tips!
