I love my boyfriend, but then I saw her. My boyfriend, Connor is a great guy, don't get me wrong. But there was something about her, that made me question everything (if ya catch my drift). Only problem? My parents. They're homophobic, and pretty racist. So of course they would NOT approve. But, let's start from the beginning.

{ four weeks ago }"Come on, Zara, you're going to be late!" I heard my mom call as I brushed my teeth. "COMEN MuM!" I tried to shout. As I quickly rinsed out my mouth, I thumped down the stairs to find my shoes.
'Where are they, where are they dammit?' I thought angrily as they seem to have disappeared. "What's taking you so long?!" My mum screamed.
I finally found my shoes. I slipped on my white converse, which looked pretty good with my ripped jeans and grey sweatshirt, if I do say so myself. I ran out the door, saying a quick: "Goodbye mum!" and hopped in my car.
Once I got to school, I hopped out of my car and was greeted by my best friend, Jessica. "Hey!" She gave me a quick hug. "What's going on, bae?" She joked. That's what we called each other. And, she was pretty attractive. Long, hazel, wavy hair, and sea green eyes. I wouldn't mind being her.
As we were headed to class, I saw Connor and waved. He saw me and smiled but headed into his class before he could say anything. "I heard there's gonna be a new kid." Jessica rambles on. She always rambled, and sometimes I wouldn't pay much attention, but I perked up.
"Really?"
"Yeah! in a couple weeks I believe."
"That could be good. We need some change."
"Well, duh! but what if they're... weird?"
"Oooh, spooky!" I wiggled my fingers in front of her face. "Cut it out." Jess glares at me. "Lighten up." A quick shove.
She rolls her eyes. "Here's my class. bye."
"See ya later bae." I wink and walk to my class.
