Me and my friends walked in. We looked around the room, it was dim. The wall was a very dim light blue color. There was a bed that was more like a hospital bed. There was a little small table to hold small things, there was also flowers on it. I managed to hide back a giggle, I knew Jet my whole life and Jet never liked flowers.
We saw Jet, with his breathing mask on him. His curly hair was pretty much dead, his hair wasn't as curly as before. I turned to him.
"Hey, buddy. How are you feeling?" I asked touching his hand. Jet managed to smile, it was a weak smile. Jet knew the worse but he managed to cover it up.
"I'm okay, I know what's going to happen. I'm gonna die." Jet said trying to keep positive. He was always good at the game. To tell the truth, he was always playing that game since I met him.
"Jet, no. Don't talk like that." I said putting my hands on his cold cheeks. Tears were starting to come for me, Roy, and Dillon.
Jet glanced a look at Dillon. Dillon casually waved. He did his best to hide his tears, he couldn't help it. We all didn't want our friend to die right in front of us.
Jet was starting to black out when I managed to kick him out of it. Jet shook his head, he kept shaking it, we were all still confused.
"It's too late, it's too late to save me. I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I wasn't always serious. I guess, I get to see my parents." Jet said with a chuckle at the end. Tears were streaming down his poor innocent face. I kept looking over at him, Roy wasn't saying anything.
"You guys have to finish the case. The two cases, yours and Anakin's." Jet said, he then looked around for a second and then looked back at me. "I know something about Kaden."
"What is it?" I asked wondering.
"Kaden and Fabio were close, I knew if because I saw them playing a lot." Jet said remembering.
"Fabio, guys. I haven't seen him in a while, should we call in Nate?" I asked Roy and Dillon. Dillon just shrugged his shoulders like he didn't really care or knew. Roy nodded and connected Nate.
"Finish the case for me. Complete it, then talk to me in the Force Land." Jet said putting his hand on top of mine. I couldn't hold back the tears.
"I love you, Jet." I said as tears ran down my face. I couldn't hold the pain any longer, Jet then begin to close his eyes. Finally, they were closed. His breathing stopped.
"Jet? Jet! Jet!" I shakes him. The heart monitor stopped, it made a loud bleep noise. Dillon broke down crying, Roy hugged me close to his side. Nate rushed in as fast as he could. It was too late.
"I'm sorry, Jet. I'm so sorry." I kept saying with my voice breaking. He didn't deserve this pain, now he was a ghost. Maybe even a spirit. He would see his parents again.Weeks after Jet died, things were especially hard. I was holding Jet's goggles, it was a reflection of Jet's warm smile. Roy then came into the room.
"Hey," He said sitting by me. He put his hand over my shoulder, "I know how it feels to loose someone. It punches you in the gut. You feel like you did something wrong, but the truth is, you really didn't."
I started to smile, Roy always made me feel a lot better. Dillon was just sitting back reading a book. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he spoke up, "Fabio."Nate was back at Tatooine upset. He was playing with a screwdriver, Jet's favorite tool. He remembered when he first met Jet. It was a few hours when my parents spilt me and Dillon and Jet up.
"I should help them, for you, Jet." Nate said. He put the screwdriver in his pocket, he put on goggles. His bright blue eyes popped out. He almost looked like Jet. He then headed back to the Rebel Base."I thought you loved me when we were little. Two weeks later, you change! All because of your parents death! Here you are again, changing because of Jet!" I screamed at Dillon. Dillon put his book down and got up, he did not like what he heard. Tears were streaming down my face, "I thought you loved me. How could you do that to me?"
Dillon's anger was now growing, he knew he did his best to control it ever since he came to the light side. He then screamed back, "I did love you! I did everything for you! I knew you would be a good person soon! The Dark Side was just not meant for you, Justice! I knew that every test, every training, every dream was just not meant for you! I did everything in my will to protect you! I knew that my parents's deaths were my fault! I couldn't let that happen to you!" He soon took a deep breath, Roy was surprise what he was hearing. Dillon then panted, remembering his anger. "Ugh! I'm sorry, okay!? I even apologized to Jet even before he died! Everyone was always so mean to me when I came here, you were the only ones who were nice!" He took a very long pause and stuck again. "I did my best to protect you, even if it was risking my own life."
We then stopped, Dillon's face was completely wet in tears. We didn't know what to say or do, we were just shocked. Dillon spend all his life to protect me. That still wasn't the good reason to be mean.
Dillon wasn't brave enough to stay in the same room as me and Roy. He then started to cry and ran off.
"Dilly! Dillon!" Me and Roy said at the same time calling for Dillon. Dillon kept running, he was running though his past, his fear.
"All my fault, all my stupid fault." He said while crying. "Why does everyone have to die in front of me?"Nate then figured out that he had to figure about about Padmé. He knew very little so he decided to go to her home kingdom. Naboo. The same plant that Dillon went too.
He called out for me and Roy to help him. We knew that we couldn't leave Dillon behind or there would be consequences.
We had to finish my case and Anakin's. Me and Roy turned to each other and said,
"Padmè."
