chapter 2: Ma lady?

So it begins, me lying there wishing I didn't have to go but at the same time wanting to leave. 

"ok time to go!" my mom yelled from downstairs 

"coming!"

I walk down stairs more quickly then expected, I walk out side putting  my bags  in the back of my moms little old run down Toyota

"lets go" I say this almost to eagerly 

we start driving, now is the time to tell you I have no idea where I'm going or where I will end up, we stop at a gas station before we make our two hour drive along the highway to the airport

"mom I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier "

" its ok I know it made you upset, if I were you I would be pissed too"

we drove in silence for a good hour when I asked,

"why doesn't Amber have a middle name?" she looked at me confused

"like how my name is Jade Marie Black, Amber doesn't have a middle name "

she looked deep in thought looking back to the certificate.

" when your dad took her we never agreed on a name I have no idea if he ever gave her a middle name "

"see mom that's strange, but I have another question"

"go ahead and.."

"why did he run"

she looked at me and back at the road, little did I know I was going to be sitting in silence the rest of the way to the airport. once we arrived all I could think about is the bathroom, mom didn't let me get out of the truck for the rest of the trip after we left  the gas station, 

"bye jade make sure to call every week ok?" my mom exclaimed 

"ok I will" I ran up to her and gave her a big hug not knowing if I will ever see her again. 

"I love you "

we both went separate ways. I walked in the airport feeling a little out of place, walked to the shortest line and waited to get scaned and what not.

"ma'am please remove your pericings" 

i was about to protest but i decided not to, i took them out and went about my buisness. i walked up to give this lady my ticket but before i gave it to her i looked to see where i was going, it had no place on it! my mom was sending me nowhere i looked again and only found a little symble  at the bottom.

"sorry my ticket says iam not going anywhere " i explaned to the lady

she looked at it and all the sudden got really confused she scanded it and just stopped and called someone over. "I'm going to die" is all i could think about i looked at the other worker he looked yellow and pale and almost ready to faint.

"right this way Ma lady"

"Wha.."

he showed me to a door and said to go all the way down and to the right. Was i on death row or something. i did what i was told and at the end of the hallway i turned right. nothing was there just a creepy hallwaythat looked as if it had no light. Should i go down there or take the left, the left had light and was not as creepy. but i still had no idea which way to take. i started to walk down the left but something told me to turn around, i listened. Please dont kill me, i took out my cell phone light and made my way down the right hallway.
