So this is my attempt at an authors's note....be kind.
This story follow a female protagonist who was just recruited to a highly covert academy for assassins. Deana Michaels is a violent (but not overly violent) adolescent who struggles with her transition into the schools hierarchy. (That's pretty much the bases for this first book.)
There's an interesting dynamic between Deana and her best friends. Also don't get use to the character's names they will be changing within a couple of chapters to their code names and that's what they'll be going by whenever they aren't in the world of normal beings.
