( Officer Tae )
"I'm such an idiot. Omg. Let's just get the coffee and be on my way."
Officer Tae walks towards Cafe Bene and enters wearing his official blue uniform, cap in hand, shoes freshly cleaned. He walks with Victoria Secret swagger, his broad shoulder squared, catching eyes of everyone within the 2100 square feet of the cafe.
His crimson hair breathes fire as they somehow gleam under the dimmed cafe lights. He was nothing far from chiseled perfection, as many would say. Handsome was an understatement. His presence, cop or cop not, was euphoric. Nothing about him screamed authoritarian or strict but his coworkers know there is more that meets this pretty face.
Tae is an outstanding officer in his field who closed each and every case he ever had. Despite anything he may face, he makes it his goal to be the one on top. That was just who he was, a hardcore officer with looks that could melt diamonds.
Tae waited on the end of the line for the coffee is insisted on bringing. Being stared at as usual. Being in such an awkward state before, he forgot to ask how Detective Joon liked his coffee.
It was the beginning of a messy day.
The wait on line went quicker than thought, there was no time to call Joon back.
"Officer Tae, good morning."
"Is it? I almost didn't notice."
"Rough morning aye?"
"The only kinds I know." He smirked. "I'll have the usual, make it two, please."
"Two huh, no problem."
"Why'd you say it like that?!? "
"Like whhaatt?"
"Is it so wrong for me to get an extra cup of coffee, is there a new law I didn't know about?"
"Of course not, officer. Anything you do is your business."
"I'm on duty Bora, I'll just ignore whatever you're trying to hint"
"I'm not hinting anything. It's just strange since when have you ever brought coffee for another person? And isn't it too early for you to be on the job? It's just suspicious, that's all"
"And to think I thought your true calling was just to be a barista. And who said I'm buying coffee for someone else??!!"
"mhmm. Here are your two cups of coffee. I hope you can enjoy them both while they are hot."
"hm. don't expect a tip now."
" I never did. Stingy."
"I work hard for each cent, thank you."
"Uh huh. Come again."
Tae left the cafe, both cups in hand and strides his way to his black Chevrolet Camaro. Pretty fancy for a cop, but it suits him well as a bachelor. He drove his way to Joon's office from the directions his boss gave him.
