One more week .
Until we, us the Proseekers will be off to our new mission. I just came back from our twelfth meeting, and I'm exhausted and I do not want anybody talking to me. I slumped to my room and plopped the bed front first, stuffing my face into my pillow I reached my hand over to the remote control on the side of my bed and pressed the button to close the door and turn off the light. I pulled my hand under my head, as my eyelids were slowly closing. . .
"We have a emergency" Frank's voice boomed throughout the house from the intercom. "Suit up and meet me in the meeting room in 5"
In five minutes! This is so not how I wanted my sleep to go, I groaned and turned on the lights blinding myself in the process. I groaned as I made my way over to my closet and pulled out my gear. A black tank top, black leather jacket, and black skinny jeans with combat boots with my snapback. I twisted my hat backwards and reached under my bed and grabbed my briefcase, and threw it on my bed. I sat down on my bed with one leg hanging off the bed and the other tucked tightly under my leg, I checked my watch to see how much time I had left, 2 minutes left and counting. I quickly opened pulled out my earring that were shaped as a key. I opened the briefcase taking out my lucky pistol and my 8pc knife set sticking them inside my leather jacket, as well as my pistol in the small of my back. I stood up and grabbed my sniper rifle holding it securely under my arms, as I secured locks on the briefcase back up and placed it under the bed not long before I stood up and grabbed the earrings of the bed and ran outta the room while rushing the get them secured while dashing to the meeting room.

"What!" I shrieked, slamming my fist down on the table while I hovered over it.
"You're going to be watching-"
"I know what you said, but I thought we would be fighting someone not babysitting a bunch of immature kids!" I stormed out of the place before Frank could respond, stomped down the hallways and towards the left heading for the door. As soon as I reached the door I swung it open, resolving in it slamming in the opposite wall I walked outside I felt a rush of relief as I breathed in the cool fresh air. I walked down the steps taking two at a time, feeling hot because I was wearing a leather jacket in the summer. But I was used to it being how me and Carmen went on a mission in the Mongers desert to try and disarm a bomb from a little boy, that mission was hot! And so now I am used to it.
I felt a tap on my shoulder startled I jumped around throwing a left hook at the stranger without even looking at their face.
"OW!!! OH MAH GAWWD!!!"
I cursed under my breath now looking at the boys cheek, I saw a bruise starting to form.
"Ah! Man, sorry didn't see ya there" I sucked in air sharply as I started at the boy rubbing his cheek rapidly, I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly and apologized again asking him if he needed anything he just laughed and said that it was okay. I was taken back to say the least I thought at least he would yell at me or say something snotty, considering the neighborhood he lived in.
"Naw, it's aiight you prolly didn't mean it" He laughed again staring at my shocked face. "Maybe we could grab summin' to eat, to pay me back"
I stared at him as I mentally went over the pros and cons, I haven't eaten, but I don't know him. I don't have any money on me, but I have weapons. Ah for the hell of it,so I agreed to grab some food.

Darwin's POV
"So you never told me your name"
"You never told me your name" I smirked at my comeback, the girl just snorted. "Misty" I nodded in approval and replied saying my name in return, as we turned down the another sidewalk nearing the italian restaurant.
"By the way" I started, "Is Misty really your real name" Her head shot up quickly as her eyes bored into mine, she lifted her hand up and adjusted her hat so it sat lightly on the top of her head boosting her 'gangsta' appearance. "Maybe" she looked down making her short dark hair with blue streaks in it fall in her face, she shrugged then looked back up to me and smirked.
"Maybe not" and with that being said my rythemed walking that was sycned with 'Misty' came to a halt, stopping what I was going to say as we approached our destination.
"We aren't gonna eat here are we?" I rolled my eyes as I pushed Misty inside or attempted to, she was too strong for a girl. She looked back at me and smirked. cockily, to say I was shocked was an understatement this girl had 'Mystery' written all over her face and I wanted to explore this mystery. So many questions running through my head as she walked into the restaurant, I followed pretending to be listening to her rant about the horrible display of the restaurant.
Why did she have such a strong right hook?
Why does sh-
"Are you even listening"
I snapped out my trance looking at Misty with wide eyes. "What?"
I questioned looking back and forth from the waitress to Misty, she just sighed showing that she was fustrated, then told the waitress to get the same thing as her.

Myandri's POV
I sighed heavily and watched the waitress who was previously at our table walk over to another table, asking them what they wanted to order. There was a little girl, I watched as the waitress interacted with her, I saw how the little girl's eye lit up when the waitress told her about the toys included.
I longed for her childhood, knowing that mine wasn't even half as good as hers. And it was right then and there all the thoughts that I had pushed to the back of my mind, came pouring back like a waterfall and it wouldn't stop. It wasn't until I felt warm calloused hands under my eyelids, that I had come to realize that I had been crying. I flinched under his touch, I pushed his hand away sitting back properly while furiously wiping at my eyes, angry that I had broken down in front of a stranger. I cleared my throat and looked into his ocean blue eyes that was profusely showing sympathy and pity, I hated people showing pity towards me.
My gaze turned cold and he flinched slightly under my cold glare, showing confusion to my sudden change of attitude. I stood up as he watched my every move, wiping my jeans off lightly and fixing my snapback snugly on my head I turned and looked at him.
"I'm going to ask for a take out, the we leave" I spat coldly looking at him for a second or two studying his features, before walking towards the checkout desk.
"Wait-"
My feet did not stop to hear his response, as I was nearing the checkout desk I heard a tiny gorgeous laugh to the left of me and a mother laugh and thank someone.
Now if I was in my right mind I would've roll my eyes and walk right past the family, but today curiosity got the best of me I stopped my furious fast walking/stomping and turned around. The sight alone made my heart stop beating for a second, there bouncing up and down on the mothers lap was the little girl. Smile of a thousand watts, and that gentle laugh, in her hands was a small platticine human.
Now I'm not sure what was so great about that small, miniature, platicine human girl. But I know for sure that it made the girl smile, and that's one thing I haven't learn to do fully yet. That little girl showed me the meaning of why my job is so important, and I knew that I wanted to protect those kids. So I leaned against a wall, putting one foot on the wall as well. I kept my eye on the little girl, as I took my phone outta my pocket and dialed the all familiar phone number.
Carmen.
"Sup" was Carmen's usual greeting.
"Yo, this gotta be quick, can you do a favor for me" I bit my lip anxiously waiting their reply.
"Sure watcha' need" she responded happily
I walked away from my spot on the wall and towards the checkout desk.
"Tell Frank that I'll do the mission"
