"Hello Camila."

i'm still smiling like there is no tomorrow, i know this. My cheeks are starting to hurt from the width and power of it.

I'm slightly taller than her so i have to look down a little to meet her gaze, but that doesn't change the fact that I can't look away from her eyes, the brown swirling depths. My own personal universe. My most challenging puzzle. My new favorite book. Her beautiful brown eyes.

Subconsciously, my hand has come to rest on her arm, already seeking her warmth. She is leaning into the touch, judging by the way her weight has shifted slightly in the direction of the contact.

I am still smiling, and so is she. She is trying to contain hers, but it's not working.

"So are you going to tell me why you ran away from me earlier?" She asks, grin still on her face, eyebrow cocked slightly in a playful manner.

"Not yet. You don't start reading a book at it's turning point, it's all about the build, and all the troubles that happen before that moment. So when you get to that part of my story i'll tell you readily. But until then, it'll just have to be a mystery." My grin turns into a smirk as i say this, my eyebrows wiggling as if they have a mind of their own.

We start staring again, smiling at each other as if we both are trying to imitate the sun. But she wins, of course. Her smile warms my face, beckons me closer. But i resist the call, it is too soon, no matter how much I want to.

I must plant the seeds of affection before I fall completely, the slow build up to a volcanic eruption of love and emotion that would become our relationship.

I must learn to appreciate the little things before I can appreciate the intimate things. Learn her favorite candy, drink, book, movie. Memorize the sound of her voice, her laugh, her sobs. Map out the planes of her smile, her eyes, her face. Capture the feeling of her hair, her hands, her hugs. Drink in the moments when she will send my senses into overdrive, my emotions into a turmoil, my heart into a drum, my skin into an inferno.

These things I must learn before i can take that step to into oblivion with her. Before I pull her to me and press my lips to hers.

Then I must relearn her all over again.

That is what I'm going to do. And as I stare into her eyes, I subconsciously begin.
