Sorry that I haven't updated sooner! My mom always loves planning unscheduled trips where I do not have any connection to my computer and the internet. I'll try to make this part extra long to uh what's the phrase, make up for it? X]
Monday, October 27th 2017.
I woke up to the repetitive ringing of my old-school alarm. Groggily I wake up and accidentally roll out of bed with a big thump. I groaned rubbing my head. Do I HAVE to go to school? No no, Elizabeth don't you think like that of course you do. Be happy you have so much to look forward to. I thought encouragingly to myself. Learning, lunch-time, friends.... Wait I don't have friends. Dangit. I walked on my knees my blanket draping over my shoulders as I drowsily turned off my alarm.
After getting ready I headed downstairs to get breakfast. Of course, mom and dad are already gone.. I strode to the pantry to pick out my choice of food to intake. Mmm, Lucky Charms Cereal? Oo! Or how about some delicious pancakes? I checked the time and saw that it was already six thirty I hurriedly poured a bowl of cereal and started chowing down. I quickly pulled my flats on and grabbed my bag. I can't be late on my FIRST day of school!! Mom would certainly kill me! I ran out of the door and on the sidewalk but stopped at a fork in the road.
Uuuhm, which way was it? I looked at the street signs and decided to go left. Luckily I chose correctly and soon I was at SunSet Highschool. The entrance was grand with a tall ceiling and a marble staircase, it almost looked like something you would see for a mansion. Wow, is every place in this town rich-like or somethin? I checked my phone to see the time, 7:20.. Oh goodness, if I don't hurry it up I'm going to be late! Strange enough I didn't see many students inside of the building.
I opened the doors and entered the office seeing a beautiful blonde woman with green eyes and her hair pulled up in a professional bun. I sheepishly came in wondering if I was actually in the right school. The woman looked busy at her computer. I was unsure of what to say or do. I was about to open my mouth when she cut me off with a smile.
"How may I help you young lady?" She looked down her sleek glasses glinting in the brightly lit office that gave a stark contrast to the darkness outside. I tugged at the straps of my backpack. Miss secretary here was taller than your average Jannet, she towered over me even when she was sitting. Being short in this situation did not help what-so-ever.
"Uhm, I uh missed almost a month of school... I just moved into town." I said in a small silent voice looking up at the lady. The secretary shook her head taking in a deep breath and looked at her computer.
"Now I understand why you're here almost an hour before school starts." Miss Secretary said. My jaw dropped, which made the secretary giggle.WHAT?! I could have slept in a bit longer?!?
"Oh, I uh- I didn't know." I mumbled staring down at my feet. Now I look like a total dingus, not a great first impression, even if it's just the secretary lady.
"Hush now dear, I'll check your schedule. Just wait there til the students from leadership start coming in so they can give you a tour." Miss Secretary gave a small smile and pointed at a seat in the office lounge for me to wait in. I shrugged my back-pack off of my shoulders and wrung it on a hook near the entrance. After a couple of minutes of waiting a boy with blonde hair and icy blue eyes came in. He was wearing a suit and held a messenger bag, his hair slightly covering his left eye.
