Riley dragged me to her house and brought me to the "Bay window."
"This is where we will share all of our secrets," she smiled.
"Ok whatever you say honey," I laughed.
"I'm going to explain everything about Missy Bradford," she said.
"More like Missy Bitchford," I smirked.
She laughed, "Ok so Missy thinks she's the hottest and most popular girl in the school."
"But she's not anymore because of you."
"Because of me?" I asked.
"She feels threatened by you because you can easily kick her off her throne."
"She also hates that you got Lucas and Zach wrapped around your finger."
"Please Lucas is annoying," I laughed, "I'm surprised you don't like him."
She looked disgusted, "Gross, first of all that's incest because he's my cousin."
"Are you serious?" I laughed again.
"Yep."
"Anyways let's get ready for this party," she said grabbing my arm.
We went shopping for about an hour and we rushed back to her house. I wanted to wear something simple but hot at the same time.

I let my hair be free and put on some makeup. We started heading towards the party. As we entered the music was loud and it smelled like alcohol. I looked around and saw everyone dancing.
"Hey sunshine," Lucas said.
"When are you going to stop following me?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Don't get too cocky now," he smirked.
"I could never be as cocky as you," I winked.
In the corner of my eye I saw Missy sending me a death glare. I laughed inside and continued talking to Lucas. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around.
"You made it," Zach said smiling.
"I'm here to make the party more interesting."
"That's wonderful because this party is pretty lame," Lucas said sipping his drink.
Zach rolled his eyes, "Drinks are in the kitchen and I would love it if you would meet me outside in 30 minutes."
He whispered the last part. I looked at Lucas and smirked before walking into the kitchen. I poured myself a drink before dancing.

"I thought you might stand me up."
"I wanted to know what you wanted," I shrugged.
"You," he smiled. He leaned in and I could smell the alcohol.
"Slow down Mr.Smooth." He grabbed my wrist and pushed me against the wall. He started kissing my neck.
"Zach get off," I yelled trying to push him away.
"Baby be quiet."
"She told you to get off," someone said. I turned my head to see Lucas standing there upset.
"Why don't you leave us alone," Zach replied.
I rolled my eyes and kicked him in the balls, "Next time listen to me."
"Maya," he groaned.
"I had that handled," I said pointing at Lucas.
"I see that now," he laughed.
"I fight my own battles ok," I said going inside.
Lucas POV
Well, that was interesting. That's what I get for trying to be a hero.
"Maya wait," I screamed.
"What?"
"Do you need a ride home?" I asked.
"Sure," she laughed.
The car ride was silent and it was filled with tension.
"Thanks for the ride," she smiled.
"So problem sunshine," I smiled back.
We stared at each other's faces for what seems like forever. Next thing I know I start leaning in. I could see the confusion in her face. I didn't know what to do. After realizing how stupid I am I decided to take charge.
I grabbed her chin and put her lips against mine. She hesitated in shock before giving into the kiss. I pulled away to catch my breath.
"See you at school Sundance," she smiled. She left the car and entered her house. I put my fingers to my lips. Man I haven't kissed someone in awhile.
Maya POV
He kissed me! I'm not the type of girl to get all warm inside and get butterflies. But today I felt different. He did this to me. And I just met him!
I entered the apartment and headed to bed. Today was an interesting day.
