Ark

Chapter 1- The Beginning

"Then it is settled! We shall name our selves The Realm of Ark!" Dairise boasted, while raising a fist into the air.

"I agree, that is a good name. I'm in!" Eren said, while Bravo nodded turning to look at his brother.

"Aye, that will do et. Alrighty then lads and lassy, Bravo and aye have a surprise for ye." Alpha said while rising, he signaled for his younger brother to follow. "We will be a moment." He left the room, only to return a few moments later carrying a large chest in both hands, while Bravo and two large burlap sacks over his shoulders.

"Bravo and I have been making somethings for our group." He opened the chest to reveal a bunch of armour, while Bravo placed the 2 sacks on the table, revealing more armour and weapons. Bravo had left the room again, only to enter with one more chest, once again holding more supplies.

"We made all of us some armour, and weapons. We can't be a party with out armour and weapons aight?" Eren and Dairise nod in reply.

"Alrighty then, the first chest holds Bravo and I's armour, our weapons are also within this chest. Eren, here is your armour, it is leather armour with steel braces and shin guards. As well since ye are our little thief, it comes with pouches on the hips, and a row coming from ye top left shoulder to your right hip. And of course a hood." Alpha said passing Eren's armour. "Dont worry lassy, it also has steel on the inside, but we added a little magic to it so it is mobile. Hehe our cleric isn't the only one who knows magic" He said giving a sly grin to Dairise. Dairise laughed in response. Eren had started to put on her armour, indeed it was light, she could tell there was metal within it. She liked it.

Bravo reentered the room fully armoured. He had a full suit of iron armour, head to toe. The helmet was round, with two square eye holes and little holes around the mouth area forming a square. He also had a green plume on the back of the helmet. Upon his right shoulder was a symbol, a turtle to be exact. Strapped to his back was a large war hammer.

"Aye, this is what Bravo's armour looks like. Pretty neat huh? Mine looks the same but it has a Red plume on the back, and on my right shoulder is a red dragon, so you can tell the difference." Alpha laughed, while Bravo gave two thumbs up.

"Its ironic though, my turtle. Im not that slow in this armour, i can move quite fast, haha." Bravo said giving a hearty laugh.

"Here's your armour Dai. You get a steel chest plate, steel shin guards, shoulder pads and braces. Since you are our Cleric, we want you mobile so you can heal us if needed. As well we don't want the armour bothering you with whatever magic you may find, or learn." Dairise had started to put his armour on, it was light, guess Alpha must of learnt a weight spell, Impressive. Once the armour was on, he noticed a symbol on his right shoulder. It was a sun, with blue runes around it.
"It shows you are our Cleric, it was Bravo's idea." Alpha said pointing at Bravo.
Bravo did a little bow as a joke.

A few minutes had passed and Alpha had his armour on. He pulled out a great shield, it was almost as tall as Alpha. It must've been heavy.
"Alrighty then, now time for our weapons, I've got my greatshield and my broadsword here. Bravo has a shield as well, but not a greatshield, and his war hammer. Eren, i made a dagger and a sword for you, as well as a longbow and a quiver stocked full of iron arrows." Alpha said, pulling out the items from the burlap sack.

"Dairise, you already have your staff, but we made you a one handed Warhammer if you need to get close to the enemies." Bravo said passing Dairise the hammer. "We meant to make you a shield, but we ran out of materials, sorry"
"Don't worry about it, this is good for me" Dairise said, sheathing the hammer on his belt.
"I guess we are a party now, hey guys?" Dairise said, looking at his team.
"Aye, that we are" Alpha responded.
"We kept our promise from years ago." Eren said.
"One more thing!" Bravo said, searching through a sack. "Our banner!" He pulled out 4 pieces of cloth. The pieces of cloth had 2 horses on each side of a red and white shield, behind the shield was a black and red dragon grabbing the shield, wings expanded and the tail wrapping the bottom, on top of the shield on a flag it says Vale, a large flag on the bottom of the banner says Realm of Ark.

"You can put them wherever you want." Bravo said, placing his on his side. Alpha placed it on his right shoulder, clipped onto the chainmail. Eren clipped it to her right side as well. Dairise clipped it onto his chest plate.
"Thank you Bravo, it is very well done. So now, we are a party." Dairise said, placing his forearm inward and his hand in fist upward. The others did the same.

The party left Dai's house and marched out. "First we'll need horses, i say we stop by Jenkins farm and ask if he requires assistance, help for horses." Eren said, pointing toward where the farmers house is.
"That means Bravo can see his beloved Angelica before he leaves" Alpha says elbowing his brother, his brother retorted with a shove.
"Save the fighting spirit for when we need it guys." Dairise piped back like an annoyed father. They walk wasn't long, about 5 minutes until they reached the farm.
"Well well, the four kids of Vale, all geared up like a true party." Jenkins said "Brings a tear to my eye, i remember when ya'll were small critters. Haha, so what can i do for the party of?" He trailed.
"Realm of Ark" Eren said quickly.
"Haha, what i can do for the Realm of Ark?" Jenkins said, laughing a bit.
"Do you need help with anything? We need horses and will exchange help for horses." Bravo said.
"Well....yes i need help." Jenkins said quietly.
"Some creature of darkness has been stealing my cattle at night, if you can wait and try to capture or kill it, that would earn you 4 horses."

"We'll do it!" Alpha yelled, overly excited.

"Great! You can come inside and plan out your strategy, i believe Angelica will be pleased" Jenkins says smiling at Bravo "To see you all before you head off"

Bravo let out a quiet frustrated sigh, but Dairise heard it, while heading inside, the sound of running feet could be heard. Once inside, a blonde figure lunged at Bravo, engulfing him in a hug.
"Hey lovely! Oh my shining knight!" A cheery voice said.
"Hi Angelica" An annoyed Bravo said.
"Looking tough! Amazing armour!" She said.
"Her to take care of the creature?"
"Yes, yes we are Angelica, do you know anything of it?" Eren said, giving her a pat on the back.
"Yes yes! Come to the table and ill tell you what i know!"
The party followed the blonde to the table, she described that she couldn't see anything, but she could hear the sound of wings flapping, and just seeing her sheep flying off.

"Wings flapping?" Alpha said.
"By any chance, is there a cave nearby?" Dairise asked.
"Not that i know of, the only cave nearby is about a days ride away by the mountains." She replied
"I have a theory but it cant be true." Alpha said
"I believe that something has caused a Darkenbeast to leave their cave."
"Darkenbeast? You mean the bat creatures?" Eren asked confused.
"Yeah them."
"What could of caused it to leave its den then?" Bravo asked. Alpha replied with a shrug.
"Well then, thats a start, but i believe we should focus on a plan to kill this creature. Angelica, may you draw us a map of the farm?" Dairise said, turning to face Angelica.
About 2 hours later, the sun was setting, and the parties plan has come together.
Dairise was to be near the gate that leads into the forest, Eren is on the roof of the building, blended in quite well, Alpha was to be in the pasture not to far from Bravo, who is hiding on a hay stack.
Dairise was scanning the forest, waiting and listening. For anything. 3 hours pass and he was about to call it a quits, until he heard the distant sound of wings flapping. It got nearer, louder. Until he thought he found where it was coming from. He pulls out his staff, the end lights up, just as it does he can see a face of a large bat, a Darkenbeast, he casts light. The ball flys and blinds the creature, the creature lands hard with a loud crash. It tries to get up, but a sword cuts through its wing. It screams, turns around and slams its tail against Alpha. Alpha flies back and crashes into a haystack. 

Eren draws her bow and fires an arrow into the beasts chest. It's eyes now set upon her, it tries to run, but is stopped. Bravo, holding onto its tail, he pulls and swings the creature over his head with immense strength. Bravo then pins it down, and holds it still. Alpha, walks over, stares it dead in its eyes. But all he saw was darkness, an endless void of anger, bloodlust, death. He stabs his sword into its neck. 

"Their ain't no mercy left in this world for such vile creatures of the void." He says, drawing his blade out of its neck and sheathing it upon his waist. 

"Well Ill be damned!" Jenkins yells from his top window, cheering. "You did it!" 

"First quest done, i guess now we can officially call ourselves a party." Dairise says, looking at his friends.
