She laid the moon
Carelessly
On the back seat
Of her small boat
And pushed it into
The dark water.
It was pushed away
With the gentle
Pull of the waves
And
She watches it disappear.
And only when the
Glow of the moon was
Gone
And the sunlight replaces it,
Only then
Did she walk towards the light
Behind her.
'I love you.'
I hear her say.
And I'm happy.
Because she told me.
She told me, not in
Words
But in a language
That has yet to be
Spoken
That she
Was happy.
Because the
Cat
Didn't
Do
It.
