5 Years Before.

i lived in a small neighborhood in California, it was the usual average saturday. i decided i wanted startbucks so Nash drove me. we got there and i got my coffee. i went on instagram and took a selfie put #basic because they think its funny when i do that. when we went home we saw someone in the house next door. that means we have new neighbors. i decided to see who it was so i went outside and screamed. a girl about my age came outside she saw me and giggled. she came over and we talked. "you have a cute laugh" she blushed. awe. then my mom walked out "Hayes do yo-who is this?" paige stood up "Hello, im Paige your new neighbor" she held out her hand "Hello im Elizebeth or if you want Mrs.Grier either one is fine" she said shaking her hand. "would you like to come over with your mom and dad for a cook out tonight we are grilling barbaque" paige smiled "yeah sure, but its only me and my mom. Cancer runs in the family on my dads side and he sorta died from it" she said twittling her thumbs. i pulled her into a hug. i dont know why, i just did she hugged me back. "Im sorry" i whispered "dont worry, its ok" we went over to ask her mom about the BBQ. she took my hand and intertwined our fingers i looked down and smiled "hope you dont mind.." she said "Not at all" she smiled we walked into her moms house. she turned around and looked shocked that we were holding hands "hey mom this is Hayes, his mom invited us for a BBQ tonight!" she smiled brightly "yes of course, Hello Hayes my names Cassidy but Cassie is good too." we shook hands and i smiled. we took her mom over to my house and they talked and talked and talked i tell ya.
