Leo and Hazel frolicked wildly through the forest, trying to avoid getting slapped in the face by every tree branch in the forest. They kept running while getting bruised and cut by the surrounding foliage. The monsters sounded off their Angel Songs which led to Leo and Hazel slowing but not for long as the song had faded. Leo wasn't afraid of most of the monsters he had face before. Giant Halfblood-eating sea monsters, no biggy. Sirens that sang you into a sleep of death, that was a little harsh for Leo. The tow scampered along the trails of the jungles. Leo caught a quick look at the monsters. they seemed to be like the actual Sirens but much smaller-looking and less sing-songy The monsters sang less. according to Hazel, the Sirens continuously sang until they had you in their clutches but these "Sirens" only sang for seconds and stopped abruptly. Finally. Hazel and Leo approached the large temple that they had been led to by Frank who was flying as a dragon up above. Leo was out of breath, he was not very good with so much running. He heaved and sighed bending over in exhaustion as the two pulled to a stop at the entrance of the temple. The Sirens were still n pursuit, not far behind. Frank Zhang landed as a human next to Hazel and Leo.

"I see you made friends," said Frank with a sigh.

"Yeah, maybe cause of, I don't know, THE GIANT FRICKING DRAGON FLOATING ABOVE US,' said Leo in frustration.

"calm down you two, we've got bigger problems. Those Siren things are close behind and we need to find a way into this place," Said Hazel. She scratched her chin as she thought. Leo put his hand to the building and sensed only levers and a few mechanical systems on the inside of the temple. No mechanisms led inside though.

"Nothing," Leo sighed Hazel put her hand inches away from Leo's and knitted her eyebrows as if she were concentrating. She scowled and then sighed with relief.

"There's an entrance around back but we need to move," sounds of Siren song echoed behind them until finally the bodies of the Sirens emerged from the foliage right in front of the temple. Leo willed himself to blaze up and grabbed some ear buds from his tool belt. He turned towards the monsters and swayed for his friends to move.

"I got this one guys," said Leo as his frown morphed into the devilish smirk he always had. Balls of fire flew at the Sirens causing them to shriek in pain. His fire tuned white hot as his anger built up. Frank and Hazel ran behind the temple as Leo battled the Sirens. The fire hit the Sirens and melted their skin. They fell one by one as Leo fought relentlessly. The Sirens were no more and Leo kept his smirk of victory as he ran behind the large temple. A large staircase had already been revealed and Leo could see that Hazel and Frank had started their journey down the long path of stairs, Leo sped down to where Frank and Hazel were.

"Yea thanks, don't wait up," Said Leo angered at the thought of his friends going on without him.

"Sorry, we just thought you could catch up,"

:  "Oh really? I bet you two were just making out," Said Leo before Hazel turned around and smacked him. "Ow, rude."

"You deserved that," Hazel turned around and kept pacing down what seemed to be a million steps. They walked an walked until they reached a dark room. The room glowed red like a red cloud always floated there. In the middle of the room stood a singular broken pillar. On it, was a sword that reflected blue light as Frank, Hazel, and Leo approached the pillar. Leo, being the most curious skirted closer to it than the others.

"Here it is, Hephaestus' lost sword," said Hazel as she walked into grabbing distance of the sword. Leo studied the scene looking for any traps that may be triggered if they took the sword. He saw nothing but felt levers and pulleys all around them. He thought they should just  take the chance and just take the sword.

"Let's just grab it and go," Frank implied with his usual nervousness. Leo snatched at the sword and brought it from its pedestal. The clicking sounds of levers and gears sounded throughout the building.

"Uhm," said Leo hearing horns blast from above ground. He realized what horns meant, horns meant monsters. Leo's eyes widened as he turned to his friends.

"Run." The three fled from the room as fast as possible. They jutted up the stairs like cheetahs. Well, Frank was a cheetah, he transformed as soon as he heard Leo's order. Already, Leo could hear monsters howling from where they were running. Finally, they reached the exit, grunting from exhaustion. Three Cyclopes appeared out of the forest. Frank went from cheetah to human to dragon in a matter of seconds. he picked up two of the Cyclopes and hurled them back into the mountain of foliage. Monster dust exploded above the area where the two Cyclopes had been tossed. Hazel brought out her spatha and stabbed the last Cyclopes in the eye. Frank morphed back into a human and swayed for the others to follow

"Come on let's get back to the ship,"

Leo slipped the sword he had grabbed into his belt and hoped it would be kept safe. The three fled through the forest, hearing the constant horn of the temple behind them. While they were traveling to the ship, the three encountered dozens of monsters and defeated one after another until they reached the beach. On the shores of the island, just a rock's throw from the ship, Leo and his friends encountered their worst foe yet. It looked like a hyperborean giant but really it was a smaller more dangerous monster. It had horns of ice and talons of frost. Where it walked, ice appeared under it. Leo knew that his friend counted on him for this one. He was the fire guy, the one that always got to fight the ice monsters.

"Get to the ship," said Leo as he passed Frank the sword from his tool belt. The two fled the scene.

Leo was already scorching with his own fire. He fired a fury of flame at the beast, each blast only being absorbed by the monster.

"That's new," Leo was shocked fire usually beat ice or water. Leo had always been able to defeat monsters who were like this. Leo pushed back his thought and summoned his hottest flame the monster began to melt but reformed afterwards. Leo had hardly any tricks left. He pulled out two hammers from his tool belt and stared to chisel the monster's figure. Leo hardly made a dent in the thing before he was thrown across the coast. The monster moved closer to Leo and began to spike with icy white blades. Leo had one last trick, he ran to the monster and engulfed himself in flame. His flame broiled the monster. Leo put all of his will power into further igniting his flame. The monster began to drip and melt but it wasn't enough. Leo glowed bright his flame turned the colors of red and purple. The monster kept trying to smack Leo away but the flame kept him away. Leo was a star, his flame burned so brightly that the sand on the beach began to change to glass. The monster released a final yelp of terror and disintegrated. Leo fell, his vision faded and his fire did the same.

When Leo woke it was night and he was sweating. This was odd because Leo usually didn't sweat, having fire powers kind of blocked that out. Fear rose in Leo's eyes. He concentrated very hard and just simple couldn't do it. Leo couldn't summon flames.
